It used to be all in the same timing to get a week or two for Detroit Car Show and following cities. Now it is all different timings which are, whom the hell knows. The Europeans are not even set the stage. It's all in the timing,,, of what?? Direct deposit??
I like the C8 but I almost wish they would have targeted a higher price point. It is impressive that you can get the tech and performance for sub-70K, but up close you can see where cheap materials were utilized. Maybe the Z06 will tick more of the boxes, but the engine compartment was very plastic looking. No opinion on interior as doors have been locked on display cars I've seen in person.
The interior options are endless...(and can be customized by the owner)..also carbon fiber options are available in the engine bay...all this takes you north of 80 grand faster than the C8 gets from 0 to 60
Haven't really inquired yet..but along with the strike..engine production has been plagued with oil leaks on this C8 power plant...from valve covers to dry sump gasket failures...these engines are built here in Buffalo NY..then go to another facility in town for a process called "hot testing"..then back to the Tonawanda plant for final inspection ...before shipment to Kentucky..they are behind schedule..
Release dates don't have much impact as to which car I see first here locally. My little corner of the world in St Pete is weird. I've owned SRT cars since 2017, but rarely do I see one in passing or parked in a lot. Not one single HellCat. Durango SRT? Ha. Laughable. No C7 Grand Sport or Z06's and I've seen one GT350 since I've owned mine. Maybe if I ventured over to Tampa and Orlando, I'd increase my chances, until then it's Cars & Coffee and straight up car shows.
