Just talked to Chrysler and it is locked out of full horsepower until 600 miles or almost 1000 km then the computer automatically removes the restriction and gives the full 707 hp

Yeah I didn't know about it till the night I picked it up and they told me it was detuned to only be 500hp and today I confirmed with service that it will open up automatically at 600 miles

Don't bring your car back to that service person... ever.

Probably a service manager who knows nothing and giving false info.

I had just 78 miles before first dyno and 128 miles first drag strip passes.

It's not a thing. If you have the red key just put it in your pocket and go start your car.

It’s false, u can beat it to death, the computers not going to stop you, only your better judgment will. I ended up once with a scat pack charger as a rental, had 4 miles on it, only thing that would not engage was line lock. Luckily It’s first 250 miles where highway to get to my vacation destination, the week of vacation I drove it like I stole it and not once did it say no way.

Welcome, Big Jim. Like we have said, unfortunately the service advisor was wrong. It's all good, we are just a bit quick on our keyboards when on line. Stay with us buddy, it's okay.

I read all 412 pages of that 112 page non since. What junior engineer got paid over $1,000 got $50 too much.. It's a warranty issue on their part. Daddy goes out of town, car sitting on 300 miles and junior decides to swach the stangs out and blows the engine. OOOps too bad daddy ole sum. I did the book thang and it is done right. Butttt,, me and El Ri Cola took a red eye for a drive with 10 miles on it. What did we do??? Hell Ya,,, not mine. We burnt the tires off of it with the 6 foot 4 salesman in the back. About to piss in his pants. His responce was,, I guess you guys have driven these before. Not to do a burn out before 500 miles,, well computer must been at lunch that day. Hit 120 in no time and not use to the sissy paddles.

I gotta say the acceleration and torque in my car is off the hook!
And I am just short of 500 miles and just started mashing the throttle in earnest yesterday.
The Pzero's don't hook for shit and I can't wait for some better weather and the DR's!

Any ways, can you view the performance pages and see what mode the car is in? It will tell you what key fob it detects and what horsepower mode your in and other info. These cars are whales (Challenger for sure) and can feel sluggish if your coming from a hopped up light weight 800 HP Z or some other 9-10 second car?? If so no worries as cats LOVE being stroked with love pulleys too

That's fine for dyno (if you mod and want to know what it'll make on race gas, have at it). And be happy with 94. I live near the largest refinery without water transport access and I can't get anything but 93, and that was a freaking miracle!

93 here.
And I sometimes see the massive flames coming out of the Chevron stacks on the way to work....
Actually saw the fireball (occur) the last time they had an accident (2013).

Mine had all 717 HP from first drive off lot.
If you have the Red Key, you should be able to use all HP.
If salesman / Dealership is saying you are locked out. It's BS.

You don't need to take it out. You can start the car with the red key and jump into performance pages, you'll see what HP is available to you right on your screen without leaving the garage.
