Durango Hellcat Owners, I need to know

Hello everyone,
What is the deal with the Key situation on the Hellcat Durango, no Red Keys? How do you reduce the power? With the cars, you can use the black key and bam like that 500 hp, you now have a scat pack. Use the Red and now you have a Hellcat.

Also in the Menu system , can you reduce the power there?

I have two red keys for my ‘24 Durango Hellcat. No black key.

My ‘22 Redeye Challenger has 2 red keys and the black key was immediately tossed in the junk drawer….never to be seen again. 😆

Red keys only for the win! 😎

What if the wife wanted to take it out and I wanted her to be safer and not have all that power?

If so, a basic talk about cause and effect (as in output being proportional to pedal movement) might be a solution.

It's not inherently unsafe to have extra power available, if anything I'd say it's the opposite. There's been times when I've saved my butt by flooring it and getting out of the way, and making understeer turn into oversteer by hitting the gas has been quite helpful numerous times.

Maybe you should consider treating her to two days at Radford? Their prices are much lower now when it's so hot, but the cars do have A/C. If you also go, I'm sure you'll have a blast.

funny you bring up Radford, we where just there in February this year. We plan on going back to AZ and back to Radford. That place is badass.
