Hey guys, I lost my factory carrier bearing on 2015 challenger(19k mi). Factory driveline assembly is a week out and costs $1470. I currently do no drag racing but been know to do a burnout or two. Would you guys just go after market or stay stock. Anyone know what aftermarket costs. Tks again for the help. Any input would be appreciated

I’m going to guess you’re talking about the 2 piece driveshaft. With only 19k miles it’s probably original and the first (2015) were the weakest. A later Redeye replacement would be a lot stronger.

I see the JXB part to be the one everyone is using.

Do you have any history with this company? I m not familiar with jxb
If the rain ever quits, I'll be replacing mine. ordered the JXB with both the street and track bushing a while back, when they were on sale.
During my last oil change on my '15 HC M6, I just happened to have a brand new inspection mirror, so check a few normally well hidden things, and center carrier bushing was obviously dry-rotted. Last drive a few weeks back, before all this damn rain, having a little fun up in the mexican part of our county, the bushing tore free. Had to limp home to a think-thunk-thunk soundtrack
kinda looks like this now: https://youtube.com/shorts/i21CxsHaN0k?si=kDISkN9urQOrRcRo

edit: there are a couple other companies making replacement parts, but don't know if any are making them for our cars yet. I only know of one person who had an issue with the JXB [in this asylum with the rest of us], and if I remember right it was just failure to tighten the bolts sufficiently

Anyone know how to rebuild? Is that carrier pressed on?

I installed the JXB center carrier. Very well made. Highly recommended. I didn't even pull the exhaust. Plenty of room in there.

There is no oem carrier replacement. Have to buy the entire 2 piece d.s., or the JXB unit.

JXB has a how-to video on their website for an '18 Charger,
Challenger is similar, but a little different, looks like it may be a little easier. May be able to get away with not lowering the exhaust, as @Diboblo did, all depends on if my hands and wrists will fit past the pipes
