But I am talking about gearbox and gear reducer noises as the drivetrain loads up when you jump on it. Like a BLOWER whine or a Gear drive etc. If it makes REAL noises I am in............

But "real noises" emanating from (any) soulless electric car would still be nothing more than fake recordings.

No, i think he is refering to the whine of elwctric motors, gearing, and such that you get w some equipment. I too would find that desirable. And they will have a burnout mode so you can trash your tires and make some racket. I think all here agree that the fake ice sounds through internal speakers is not only silly beyond belief but insulting.

100% NO on any fake noise. It would be cool if there was an actual transmission and gear changes. But with electric motors it will likely be one speed. If it is not obnoxious driving normal and when you stand on it you can tell the drivetrain is loaded by substantially more noise, I will be very happy. If it is "shockingly loud" I will probably wet my pants..............

Like it not, all EV's are getting fake engine sounds.

The NHTSA has mandated since the 2020 MY that all EV's and Hybrids make fake engine noise 18 mph and below.

Something to do with pedestrians and bike riders being able to hear the car around them at low speeds. Anything higher than 18 mph, tire and wind noise should be audible.

Honestly, I've never heard an EV make any noise from a stop, but that could be because it's < 2020, or maybe Canada hasn't changed its rules yet.
