A few years back I won a Mustang Cobra on ebay. It was advertised as a super low mileage cream puff.
I even had a few conversations with the guy about it. Pictures were immaculate. Final price was really good.
I drove over to the west coast to inspect the car in Cape Coral. When I got there it was sitting in the driveway. I knocked on the door and nobody answered.
Needless to say, it looked like it had been entered into an off road competition.
I did get my deposit back but it took some work.

I bought two motorcycles in Detroit..would not send a deposit..told the seller I would be there the next day with cash..if they were as he said..we got a deal..if not I took a long Sunday drive for nothin..@ the end of the day..everybody got what they wanted..

You see this in the gun sales websites also. Same thing, they post stolen pics.
Don't trust anyone!
BTW: Few months ago a long time member posted 3.09's for sale at $700. I wanted to buy one but the "seller" would only accept Venmo. I passed. Turned out is was a scammer that hacked his account! Moral of the story, don't trust anyone!
