Wow. I thought this guy was a clown but maybe now I’ll have to rethink that. It’ll be interesting to see if any other CEOs address the elephant in the room.

Great post and yes he’s no fool to the reality of the False truths on EV. But he is also the key guy who has to deliver to his investors profits. And for this reason he just did the “Told you so” investors reports in 2026 and forward. He totally understands the profits are a long long time coming if ever for the EV infrastructure and sustainability as well. The sad fact is the WACK JOB GREENIES will not listen and continue there path of False accomplishments on the Save the Planet agenda. My saying this year is “Interesting Times” being we are witnessing more than ever decisions and movements being decided by the select few based on “Science”. Wow is anyone listening to more than ever mankind is being directed by the scientists of the world. Scary times lie ahead for us being mankind thinks he knows the future better than the future actually is. Choices has been the reality to mankind survival and failures which in the end we all know too well mankind ain’t bigger and better than Mother Nature. The failures are always covered up by those who tell others how the world plays out and or circumstances. Which sadly more than ever we are witnessing the Greed of the radical movements to change how mankind lives to satisfy their fairy tale endings that never will happen.

The man, just like Tim K, has his hands tied.

Governments are telling them what cars they can make instead of the market telling them what they want.

He has the battery and energy fundamental problems front center and he is 100% correct. Some of us have basically posted on this Forum what that man said in the interview.

The truths keep coming out and the pushback is getting huge.

People will only take so much.

Battery and supply shortages are the least of the problems.

With a heat wave approaching/in progress, Texans have already been warned this week that the grid can't take it and to consider charging EV's during non-peak hours.

What's that, with about only 1% of cars on the road these days are full EVs?

Maybe Texas is an extreme example but sooner or later, this will catch up with every state and province in North America as that percentage climbs.

Everyone thinking of buy an EV because gas prices are sky-rocketing only to then have to trade it in for a gas car because you can't charge it.

That’s right. The more existing electric generation they take away without 1:1 or more replacement, that power is gone.

I can see the cooling towers of the Byron nuclear facility from my house. I don't remember if it was Illinois or the owner that keeps fighting about shutting it down. But it is very much a political football that comes around every couple of years. Lets shut down power production. Force everyone to drive EVs. Tax the shit out of EVs because you will lose the gas tax revenue. Don't bother to fix the pension problem that is the driving force to kick people out of state. Hell even Tim Barth said he is leaving IL!!!!

They’ve said the same thing here in MI about rolling blackouts in some areas this summer. The Gretch has to go. That would be our dumbass governor Gretchen Whitmer.

i am an electrical contractor in a wealthy area and people are buying teslas and we are putting in 60amp chargers for them most people are retired so they dont come home from work and we are at capacity on the grid in the area if we had people coming home from work at the same time and plugging in thier cars the grid would fail this is the major problem with ev cars, when i worked at a power company in new york 20 years ago we were having grid, supply problems and brownouts and there was nowhere near the demand we have now.until we improve the infastructure this is another failed government plan.

This explains the simple problem that only gets worse with more people believing they can simply plug in an additional 60 amps in the evening along with everything else we all routinely do.

It appears he may not be a total Kool Aid drinker. All the major car companies are in bed with governments world-wide.

And no CEO will risk losing his multi-million job for anything or anyone.
