Finally have my billet inlet plate for my 2.7 IHI completed. Made from a block of T6061 T6 aircraft grade aluminum. Precision machined to within a few tenths of a thousandth of a stock plate. Can make a batch for sale if I get enough purchase inquires for them. Will be dyno ing what kind of power it makes soon. Top plate in one picture is a ported stock cast plate that I used as my template. Stay tuned!!

No just the 2.7 at the moment. I only made it because I couldn’t buy one that I liked, the SDG I liked but he would not sell one to me for self installation.

Compared to a stock unported 2.7 plate, much more open but MUCH stronger. I could have taken a support or 2 away but I plan on spinning this 2.7 with a +10 ATI lower and a 2.86 Satera clutched quick change upper pulley and my engine sees 7200 rpm between shifts so at the moment I want maximum rigidity of the bearing supports over maximum flow potential.

It's sad that you have to go this far just to keep it on the road. No thanks to whipple's constant issues of course.

The billet plate is one thing my 2.4 doesn't have. It's going on season 3ish (mid 2021) since it went on and might be due for a refresh soon.

I have had a billet plate on my 2.4 for many years. That blower made 960 wheel on pump flex 83 and is still in perfect condition. My goal for this 2.7 is 1050 wheel.

Port matched plate to snout and opened snout up to 108mm. Heated plate to 275F for an hour and it dropped right on the bearings and dowels, perfect fit. Checked rotor relation and timing, looks perfect. Coupling is pinned to the rotor shaft, have to do the same to the snout. Filled with 8oz of Jon Bond blue ceramic super charger oil, be time to put it on this weekend hopefully.
