Back up and running, thanks to David Starnes @ D & B Automotive. We broke our input shaft in the transmission racing at Rockingham. David stepped up and built us another HP 90 Extreme trans with all the best parts!! Extra Alto clutches and extra high performance steels for each drum, billet E-drum as well as the extra tricks he has learned over the years. David we thank you for warranting the trans when most wouldn't do so, can't wait to get back to the track! On another note our broken trans was in great condition after tear down other than the input shaft. We beat the hell out of that transmission for a year and half of racing and lots of 8 sec passes. Also we got a Sipple’s Speed & Performance custom billet tourqe converter from Jon Sipple to replace our stock TC. I believe we broke the the input shaft because the stock TC was locking up bad at 1400 to 1600 rpm on the logs. Not flashing at its normal 2400 to 2600 rpms. Just want say thank you to David for being an awesome business owner and more importantly an even better friend for looking out for us!! We do all of our own work on the car including the engine rebuild in a home garage. We are truly thankful and have enjoyed your friendship over the years. Also thanks to Jon Sipple for the custom billet tourqe converter at a great price. Can't wait to see what we can run with the new set up!! Stay tuned...

Yes, found a rolling chair with a tool base on the bottom to roll around under the car. It's really comfortable, works out great. Way better than the floor!

Thanks Jon, really looking forward to see the results of the new high stall, billet and extra clutched tourqe converter. Might finally get my 60' fts back down half a tenth, we're they used to be, before the 3.09 rear and 15" conversion. I believe my troubles were the stock converter?It's going to be some dialing in. I have found the more you upgrade like engine, rear, 15" conversion and so on. It takes some time to dial it in. Sometimes frustrating..

Got the car up and getting the transmission fluid level set. Have to get credits from HP Tuners for the tcm and tune it. Looking forward to getting back to the track.

David built me another transmission and shipped it. The tcm is part of the valve body. I sent him mine. The trans tcm he sent has a different ID # so I need new trans credits from HP Tuners to tune it.
