That's why alligators and pythons don't like to bite or eat us.

I dont mind it. A few months away from the car makes it special again in the spring. Mine will be parked in a couple of weeks. I run the tank low and take the battery out.

Ever since I started driving, including riding motorcycles which was first, I've pretty much driven as fast as humanly possible, and ideally sideways. Heck, I've had the Pete and its trailer sideways on a narrow dirt road, just because. That's how I figure I've worn out numerous guardian angels since I've lived to talk about it..

Obviously, with the 'Cat I can't drive anywhere near as fast as what the car is capable of, but I did try. But lately I don't feel anywhere near as invincible as I have been.

In other words, the 'Cat is still my favorite vehicle, it's just that I no longer enjoy always driving it at its/my limit.
Yikes...do you realize what that means....yer gettin old...:(:(:(

I have no idea exactly where you live. Sounds like on a plateau in a western state.

It’s like smacking yourself in the face because it feels so good when you stop, but it’s also like Christmas morning when you get it out of hibernation.

I have indeed surpassed the 22 year limit that for whatever reason (okay, there were several) I though was going to be the end of me.

Of course, at the time, being 17 or 18, that seemed like a very long way into the future. But either I survived against all odds, or this is being written by an unreasonable facsimile.

Tried and true tradition on our mopars. A 1969 super bee for decades has a soft blanket over it. Considering we start the car once a month to make sure its good its the easiest way. I’d hate to take blankets from good will but clean em and never look back. Ill let you know what I get ;)

So will I be OK having it in my Heated Garage and taking it out once in awhile when the roads are clear?
I usually keep the Garage temp at 50. I am worried about the Salt, and they use Sodium Chloride like water around here on the roads as well.

Why not?

The tricky part is to get the oil up to temp when it's cold out I've noticed. At least on the open road. This is where stop and go traffic seems to help, but we don't have any of that. Thankfully.

Maybe I have a leg up there because it will never freeze in the garage. It has the below floor radiant heat, so even when its like -20 outside, its 50 in the garage.

Same as in my case then, but that won't matter when on the road and the oil cooler starts doing its thing...a bit too efficiently. I'll put a cover in front of mine this winter.
