2021 Durango SRT Squeaking

I’m a new owner of a 2021 Durango SRT, destroyer gray, with 600 miles on the meter. I love the truck but just noticed some squeaking at startups - it only lasts about a minute. This can’t be normal? Anyone experienced this?

Hard for me to hear it, I do hear a little squeaking, sound like a idler pulley

Yeah, it’s really just a little - hopefully it’ll go away after it broke in...I’m just enjoying the truck for now. If it gets worse, I’ll have the dealership check it out.

It sounds almost like a bad bearing on one of those. Although I do agree it is very subtle.

If I think of it, I'll record and share a clip of mine running tomorrow.

Does it sound like that after it's been running and is fully warmed up? Oops, I see you said only for a minute. Ok, cold start.

I can’t say I’ve ever heard any squeaking on ours. It's very faint from your vid and hard to tell. Congrats on your new DSRT!

I dont hear anything too unusual. No squeaking. Do you mean the rattling sound that sort of dissipates after a while? If I remember correctly that’s pretty normal. I seem to remember my ‘15 SRT 392 Challenger having the same thing. Never had any issues. Wonder if it’s a cold lifter type thing with the 392’s.

I think you’re right - more like rattling sound now that I listened to it again 🤔

Teaser, I don't think it has the same sound as yours. (MY19 DSRT with ~15K miles)

With that said, I'm not sure I'd be super concerned about yours, but do continue to monitor it?

I've been wanting to get one of those mechanical contact stethoscopes to troubleshoot things just like this, maybe you could get one if you don't already have one. They can be had on Amazon for not too bad.

Stopped by the dealership today (waited an hour for engine to cool down) and SA said it’s from the exhaust and it’s normal if it goes away after about a minute. It does go away, so I’m not too worried about it right now. I’ll bring it back if it gets worst...

The only squeaking I've ever heard on my car is when I first crank it up and the exhaust valves open but this is on my Atak exhaust but the factory exhaust is completely quiet. I spot welded the Atak exhaust pin open, no more squeaking
