Nice car. And it’s right here in St George 🙂. This would be a great bracket car and can also be run in one the NHRA Factory Stock classes if that was something you wanted to do. Looks like a beautiful example and it is a real DragPak so there’s that. I’m going to bet it doesn’t go for much. I wonder if there’s a minimum bid. $40k?

In an effort to catchup to the Supercharged Cobra Jet, Dodge countered with the Viper V10.

They finally got smart and built a whipple Hemi but that didn't happen until 2014 or 2015.

I still wonder if Ford ever build that twin turbo Cobra Jet. That was going to be a monster of a car but I've never seen one.

Yes and John had work done on his DP's viper engine by Arrow Racing engines. They are owned by someone else now.
John asked me to put a New ET number on his DP for his name! I think someday that will happen ;)

I remember Barth's old shop down town Rockford.
Really cool place at the old Chrysler dealer. Just in a shit part of town now and Barth has moved out of the area.

There were always fast Challengers down there. I remember early on one was converted to look like a Cuda. I was in the tower picking up a freeze plug we requested when Leek said something about that car running a 10 something. He was impressed

Yes, Ron was a really nice man. I am good friends with Tim and had gone to his son's funeral.
I tried to stay in the background knowing so many people would know my "Pink Car". I didn't think it would be a nice thing to do, Car talk at a Funeral.
low an behold I hear coming from across the room in that famous Ron voice "there is Linda Tout" I had only met him a few times and was shocked that he even noticed and remembered me.
he was such a nice man and absolutely the best track announcer!
BTW I still have my "Pink" Car and sometime it will come back out to play!
My daughter Kate we shared my Daily Driver FF for dragracing while she was learning. Once I got My Hellcat Charger, she got to Drag it all herself. I gave it to her when she turned 25. She loves to bracket race.
That one has a D1 Procharger built and Tuned by HHP.

My race car had the Kenne Bell, so I bet you can guess how much my Husband loved that the Hellcat was supercharged!

The fastest I have ever been was a 9.2 In a super gas firebird The inside was like the cockpit of a Plane.:oops:
But I passed my Test for a Supercomp license. ( The only lady in the class that passed)

Yes I do and when it comes back out it will run 8.xx ;) By Me :cool:

It is a full out built race car and was almost the 1st into the 8's, that was the goal.

I told Tim, it should be called the Pink Ghost, everyone was chasing the number but they never saw the Pink car. The ET pushed the Platform, if you knew John then you knew that is what he liked to do.
You have no idea how much Race and break for the SRT8's went on prior to Hellcats, unless you do.

It was easier with the Hellcat Cars to get the go fast parts to the marketplace.

A Blue charger known as The Bee got 1st into the 8's and into the wall.

That is one thing John did was build our cars for safety and strength.
