    Who didn't see this coming

Well, if you're willing to give up the warranty on a Furd, I should have nothing to fear with a Ram.

    Who didn't see this coming

I'm still a bit hesitant about giving up the warranty. Then again, warranty means very little when having to run off the road to avoid a collision. Guess I should get in touch with Jon.

    The last Hellcat rumor mill

Was this in the early 1900s, as they were beating out the EVs?

    Who didn't see this coming

Exactly! And that's why my 'Cat is safer on the roads around here than anything else I own. And also why I hate the 118 mph limiter in the TRX. It sucks having to look down on the speedo to make sure I stay at 117 or less while the approaching vehicle is getting closer and closer.

    The last Hellcat rumor mill

And here I shamed my girlfriend into buying a Redeye, after pointing out that those are quicker in the 1/4 than her 911 Turbo S. Actually, it may even have been that my regular pedestrian 'Cat was quicker. But she wanted to up me and got the Redeye. So, $80K and change to beat a $200++K car...

    The last Hellcat rumor mill

I dunno. As I recall, my girlfriend's Porsche was about three years old, and she got over $200K when recently trading it in. It did have low mileage, though. Unless you mean a Boxter or Cayman, but those aren't exactly bad ass.

    The last Hellcat rumor mill

You don't get much Porsche for less than $100K. They've been affected by all the crazy crap going on, too.

On the other hand, you can't take it with you. And supposedly only live once.

Wow Ram has a 500 mile Range 800 HP Electric Truck coming😳

No need to be a lab rat. We all know it'll fail - it's only a matter of how badly.

    NEW TOW RIGS

To me it's mostly to be able to break things in correctly. I like quiet drive trains, and while it's not brain surgery to change ring and pinions, it's not exactly fun either. But still better than taking an innocent vehicle to a dealer to be worked on.

You may have a point there. I don't like my wimmin too spongy, either.

Wow Ram has a 500 mile Range 800 HP Electric Truck coming😳

Didn't realize you were quite that frail, Demon. Have you driven a 3500 with air suspension, by any chance?

Wow Ram has a 500 mile Range 800 HP Electric Truck coming😳

I don't see how that matters when you have a 32' to 38' trailer behind it anyway. And why on earth would you want to voluntarily drive into any kind of city in the first place??

Wow Ram has a 500 mile Range 800 HP Electric Truck coming😳

Which I could easily achieve, and not have to drive a Furd in the process. Care to let us know how that F150 would do pulling 25,000 lbs.?

Wow Ram has a 500 mile Range 800 HP Electric Truck coming😳

Somewhat related, I just committed to an Audi Q5. It'll be an 800 mile round trip, but I finally got a decent trade-in offer for the '21 GT AWD with 789 miles on it. I know, I know, it's a 2-door turning into a taxi, but I can't load a pallet in the back of the Challenger.

Wow Ram has a 500 mile Range 800 HP Electric Truck coming😳

Really? I can do better than that with my Ram 3500 pulling 25,000 lbs. And I can replenish the factory 74 gallon fuel capacity in a matter of minutes. But there are times when even that gets a bit tricky, as the fuel level start getting low and it's over 100 miles to the next station. Then I...

Diesel Tuner Gets Year In Prison

Around here, deer is most common, and year around, followed by elk which is a bit more seasonal. If there's a herd of over 60 of them, you pretty much have to stop. Now. Free range cattle is a distant third, being very seasonal. Besides, if you don't notice the cattle guards and/or signs, you...

Diesel Tuner Gets Year In Prison

Trailer brakes do indeed fail. Maybe not often, but it may only take once. Bought a used gooseneck 40' flatbed a while back, dragged it home some 150 miles on twisty and hilly roads...going a wee bit fast as usual. Well, got to a stop sign in town, almost home, and the stopping was nothing...

Diesel Tuner Gets Year In Prison

I kept my '14 for almost eight years. Sold it with just over 20K miles on it. Nice and practical car, but incredibly boring. If the weather is nice, and no small stuff needs to be transported, I much prefer driving something fun. And while the new 1500 is a lot more fun, there's a reason it...

Diesel Tuner Gets Year In Prison

Those 1/2-tons do ride softly. With the '14 I had I made it a point to go buy water (4-5 cases) in the daytime. If in the dark, the headlights were way off correct adjustment from "all that weight" and i didn't want to blind people with the improved headlights. The '21 1500 hasn't been...
