About three weeks ago the 200-gallon tank with ethanol free 91 octane ran out. Needed to fill up a couple of small vehicles and grabbed three good (air tight) 5-gallon metal cans from the garage.
Put some Star Tron in them, since I've had very good luck with it, let them sit over night and then...
Hey, very much appreciate the offer. I'll likely need all the help I can get.
What I'm curious about at this point is if your trunk mounted bypass would work on a TRX...which doesn't have a trunk.
Hmm, let's see here.
Choice A: Get the Ram for a good price and enjoy a (most likely) trouble free vehicle.
Choice B: Forfeit the deposit, get a Furd F150, and practically be guaranteed to have problems.
Hmm, if that's indeed true all I'd need is the bypass cable. Emailed the manufacturer of the most commonly used one about a year and a half ago (when I got the TRX), but still haven't heard back.
Guess it's time to buy from some other outfit.
Mine's also far from top of the line. Would've really liked to have a heated steering wheel, but realized that I'd rather freeze a bit every now and then than have to always deal with a touch screen...which is a must for getting the heated 'wheel and seats.
Heck, I even ordered it without the...
Ah, yes, the Ramcharger. Wish I'd remember how many bags of cement I crammed into the back of one. Plus four people inside.
Those bump stops got the workout of their lives. All nine of them, in one trip.
I'd love to have one. But there's no chance whatsoever that they'll make a Gen 5 regular cab. At least not for the US market.
There's some weird emissions related rule that makes it tricky for them to have a small footprint (physically, as seen from above). As I recall, a regular cab longbed is...
No, they sure don't. That one was my first, and somewhat predictable lesson in 1/2-ton towing.
Tried pulling my (empty) 16-foot enclosed trailer. No thanks. Later tried with an empty 16-foot flatbed behind the '14 Ram 1500. Again, a big no thanks.
Best (okay, least worst) so far was that same...
I still (occasionally) miss my little '05 Chevy regular cab shortbed. Affectionately known as The Garden Pickup.
It was set up to deal with corners, and could hang with many supposedly superior cars. But, a low 2WD pickup on wide tires wasn't exactly ideal for around here, so it was sold...
Agree. I also thought they were long gone.
Now I can't remember if I even looked at ordering one in '14, or decided on a Quad Cab for other reasons.
A short bed 1500 makes perfect sense, since there's no payload to speak of anyway. And obviously two doors are plenty since nobody uses a pickup...
Well, I like to drain the oil while as much crap as possible is still in suspense in the oil. In other words, very shortly after driving the vehicle.
I also don't care how much oil comes out of the cooler per se, but want the sediment trapped at the drain out of there. More flow helps with...
Can't say that I remember being bothered by oil running down outside the filter, but have noticed that much more comes out of the cooler's drain plug if removing that one before the filter.
Guess that could mean there's less in the filter afterwards. Either way, always drain all vehicles when...
