Dealer hasn’t been draining my oil cooler

Exactly, since they're very affordable cars, we shouldn't above grabbing some tools ourselves and doing the job right. Of course, if it's "anal retentive" to perform the job according to the instructions, then maybe spending time in a safe zone at the dealer is a better option after all.

Dealer hasn’t been draining my oil cooler

True, it shouldn't be an issue at all. Dodge put a drain there because it should be used. Quite simple, really.

Dealer hasn’t been draining my oil cooler

Well, I don't follow the "demanded frequency of oil changes", but when I do change it, I want to do it correctly. I guess it all depends on what you prefer to worry about.

Dealer hasn’t been draining my oil cooler

Next time I'll try pulling the cooler's plug right after the pan's. So far I've done pan, filter, and then the cooler. More oil coming out from the cooler should flush it out better.

Dealer hasn’t been draining my oil cooler

There can be several low spots in a system. It has nothing to do with how high or low it is situated, but if it can drain to the lowest spot or not. In this case there's a low spot in the oil cooler, too. Thankfully Dodge gave us an easy way to get rid of what gets stuck there by incorporating...

Dealer hasn’t been draining my oil cooler

I don't really care about the amount of oil being left in the cooler. But I do want to get rid of the debris that most likely has settled in the low spot (the drain).

Who here still likes Hellcat org?

Too many puns to be made using the word "shelter" there, so I won't even try.

What else is in your garage

Making work easier is a big part of it, Barracuda. That some of the machines are quite complex and offers a lot to learn makes it fun, too. Also, I like building things that makes it feasible for me to perform various tasks, especially when it comes to lifting and precision grading. You can...

What else is in your garage

Good point, Barracuda. Almost as easy to list...and I probably forgot some car.

What else is in your garage

You guys inspired me to take a head count, which I should've done some time ago. Please notice that what my herd lacks in quality, it makes up for in quantity. So in no particular order, other than the Hellcat there's: A '17 Ram 3500 C&C, '14 Ram 1500 (daily driver), '74-1/2 MGB, '71 MGB GT, '...

    Panamera GTS

Sorry, Mark, she's an only child. I wish we had more garage space. Well, I do, but the big garage is full of, um, stuff. Consequently, her Macan, Cayman, and Ram 3500 sits outside. As does her Kubota UTV, John Deere Gator, Daihatsu Hi Jet (very small dump truck), and two Kubota tractors.

    Panamera GTS

My two cents: My girlfriend is on her second (or maybe third) 911 Turbo S now. It's definitely a quick, fast, and well handling car, but when she realized that my Hellcat was quicker and faster (except 0-60) she bought a Redeye. So the Panamera is heavier, much heavier, than the 911 and has...

Yeah, that's what I've tried...four or five times by now. I just don't know where it ends up after that. Except not as my avatar.

Somewhat related, now that Slowpoke's issue seems to be resolved. How do I get a photo into my avatar? I can pick one, and it uploads, but it doesn't want to stick. And like Slowpoke, I'm no computer whiz, so please be kind.
