To sell or not to sell the Trackhawk

Alright, the 'Hawk's future looks a bit brighter. Found some suitable skinnier wheels, and several tire choices. And the 1500 will fit in the garage once I throw my girlfriend's little tractor out of there. Still saying it shouldn't be driven in snow? If so, why is there a "snow" setting for...

To sell or not to sell the Trackhawk

Yeah, it's a maintenance thing, too. From as simple as having to put a charger on the battery ever so often, to oil changes. While keeping the 'Hawk would almost require getting new tires and wheels for winter usage, the 1500 will need new tires because of age very soon. If I park it, the old...

To sell or not to sell the Trackhawk

Hey, at least these two 4-doors are parked under a roof. That's more than ChargerChallenger can claim.

To sell or not to sell the Trackhawk

Not quite, Hellcatfcp. She thinks that I should keep the 'Hawk and sell the 1500, and that I can use her pickup when/if I need something with a bed. So I asked if I can drive her 'Hawk if I wanted to. Nope. First time ever I couldn't drive anything of hers. Go figure. And I don't mind using the...

To sell or not to sell the Trackhawk

Thankfully, while they do use salt here, things really don't rust. If going to Colorado it's a different story. They use that evil magnesium chloride. Besides, now that my girlfriend traded her beater (a Porsche Macan Turbo) for a Trackhawk, we'll have one that'll get driven in salt no matter...

To sell or not to sell the Trackhawk

Ha, you want me to add yet another one? No thanks, the 1500 works fine for winter use. And if I don't drive the 'Hawk in the winter it'd just be competing with the Challenger for the dry driving season. As fun as the 'Hawk is, I like the Challenger even more. Either the 'Hawk stays and becomes...

To sell or not to sell the Trackhawk

Guys, I could use some opinions and suggestions here. As some of you know, I've been considering selling the 'Hawk, a '20 with 1,805 miles on it. That's in eight months, and I feel bad about it just sitting. It was bought as a fun replacement/alternative to a '14 Ram 1500, a truly boring but...

What is wrong with people these days

No, but they did make some extend-a-hoes for the MB4/94s, but they are somewhat rare. The outriggers are standard 580 issue, it's just that these are mounted on the Unimog so that they can "lay down". The trencher is a Vermeer, good for about eight feet as I recall. But that one, called an HME...

What is wrong with people these days

The pictured ones have backhoes (Case 580s), but I also have two with knuckle boom cranes (forklifts in the front) and one with a trencher. That's the one i borrowed the dozer blade from. No free (not in use) PTOs or any 3-points on those, but I recently got a civilian version (MB 4/94) that...

What is wrong with people these days

This is the closest I have. The one on the left has a dozer blade on it now. They're not fast, though. 55 tops.

    2020 Order Banks Closed

It would be for taxi drivers that only drive in roundabouts.

I forget. The taxameter would freak out if you did try. My bad.

What is wrong with people these days

That could've been me. It's 55 and 60 around here, too, but I prefer 80-120.

    Remove Dodge Lettering or Not?

You're not referring to the old hood and wide bodies, are you?

Has anyone installed laser jammers in their Hellcat?

This is bringing back some memories. My teacher was 33, I was 18. Good times.

Hey, you need really good brakes going down that road.

Alright, if I do end up there again, I'll let you know. I'd love to get a ride on that road in a fun car. Have driven it hundreds of times, but always in something 4WD, Plus, it'd be great to meet you in person...even though you'd likely throw me out after 1/3 of the distance.

If I ever have to sneak in there (CA) again, I may take you up on that offer. Last time it was in the cover of darkness and on less than secondary roads, but I did get in and out of Big Bear without getting caught. That was with a 3500 with a flatbed (has to stop at scales) and a 25K GVWR...

Oh yeah? So just because I don't have any (recent) tickets (yet) you are discriminating against me?!? I'm sending a letter to Maxine Waters as soon as I finish typing this. Jeez.

    Jeep Grand Wagoneer revealed

As mentioned, I generally travel alone. I also wouldn't put her in the back seat, but next to me, so no need for any extra doors. The one thing with modern cars, though, is that the shifter generally isn't conducive to be part of the fun.
