Darn it. I may have to get something more powerful, whether I want to or not.
My girlfriend just informed me that the new 911 Turbo S will have 641 hp.
That means she'll order one, and I'll be first loser again...except, maybe, in top speed.
I haven't kept track of what's coming from Dodge. Is...
Well, here's your chance to get one for cheap. It's already on a trailer destined for CA, but won't leave until Sunday, or so.
Won't quite fit in a Challenger's trunk, though.
I probably had it as good as it gets in CA, living in an area with nothing but twisty canyon roads to go play on.
And one of these days I might trailer the Challenger back there to relive things a bit.
But it'll have to be a day when all the bicyclists that took over the roads are on strike for...
Thanks, but no thanks, Demon1. If I wanted 91 degrees I'd go back to CA. At least the humidity would be lower there. And if I were in CA and wanted it warmer yet, it'd be a short drive to the nearest fire.
These days I largely stop functioning at 80 degrees, but the cold doesn't seem to bother...

So it can get a bit "nippy", as Jen found out.
Not quite, OBC, not quite.
No, that contraption started life as an innocent Unimog SEE (Small Emplacement Excavator). Converted the loader to a Quick-Tach setup so that it'll accept Bobcat style attachments, then ran "extension hoses" from the PTO driven backhoe out to the loader...and plugged...
Guess we've been lucky with Porsche then. For example, ordered one, which was one of the dealer's three allotted ones (and it's a large dealership), and still got it for below MSRP.
Ironically, that car arrived quicker than the Redeye which was ordered maybe three weeks earlier.
It's over at "the old place", and the thread was called "Redeye Owners..." something. I can find out if you can't find it.
I probably started piping up about a year ago on that one, using the same Jimmy N. as here.
It's a lot of reading, but mixed in with peoples horror stories is also a great...
