This could be fun. Start packing.

    4x4 2020 Ram/Tundra/Tacoma

One thing to maybe keep in mind is that the 1/2-tons are like cars with beds, and have very low payloads. 3/4-ton Rams are the real thing, but still with very low payloads, due to the 10K GVWR ceiling. I've had numerous pickups, but these days it's down to a Ram 1500 and a Ram 3500 DRW. Small...

And it's not even that far to go interrupt Bull's beauty sleep. Bring a loud one, would you?

Yeah, as long as it's still legal to laugh, we'll be fine. Hell, I'd probably laugh even more if it was illegal.

Uh, oh. Can NM handle another one like me?

Umm, wasn't that supposed to be taking place in 2021? We may be closer than you think.

    Emblems (the lack of)

It was the BMW crowd that started making me dislike the excessiveness. In addition to the obvious factory emblems on the back, there was often also a license plate frame and logos on the mud flaps. Well, I got it the first time, simply seeing the circular factory badge, as if the fact that it...

Yet you fell for it and called them "upgrades". (Sorry, couldn't resist).

    Emblems (the lack of)

Yep, less is more I think. After two years, mine says Dodge on the back, as from the factory, and there's now a Challenger emblem on the grille (on the right side) and that's it. No SRT emblems, no cat skulls, no nothing. And it still runs great, just looks cleaner.

Am I the only one here who likes using wheel nets?

    Motorcycle..."Lane Splitting"

Yes. But that fact has nothing to do with that I used to split lanes in L.A. traffic. Or, like what happened to a friend of mine. We weren't splitting lanes, just riding down a street when someone in a parked car opened their car door right in front of him. It was a Renault so he didn't even...

    Trailer

Not quite. The Ram is at about 9,300 lbs. It was a tow filled two days, taking the Caddy to my dealer in southern Utah, then a dealer-trade Jeep to northern Utah, load up the 'Cat and head home. Yeah, it's only two feet long. Didn't really have Challengers in mind when buying that trailer...

In both cases the doors cleared, but while the Caddy was just driven up, the 'Cat required a fair amount of stacking 2x4s and even lifting the front of the trailer up by about a foot above the coupler.

One thing to keep in mind with beavertails is the breakover angle. Of course, that was the least of my worries when picking up the 'Cat. I should've brought much longer ramps, to deal with the minuscule approach angle. And while I prefer side access for the ramps, it really doesn't matter to me...

Unless the 'Cat's lowered, the door should easily clear a typical trailer fender.

What was your out the door price?

And besides, is that out two doors, or four?
  17. Jimmy N.

Do you cover the two air vents on the hood before a car wash?

You guys probably don't completely agree with that everything from my '14 Ram 1500 to my girlfriend's '19 911 Turbo S and everything in between have been washed exactly once, each. That was a couple of months ago. And that was only because a local wanna-be car detailer had a special. He spent...

No, but hitting the brakes before the next curve should.

Funny that you mention that. I turned the wipers on quite a few times in my Daihatsu Hi Jet after I first got it. Then I got another RHD car, a Jeep JK, but it has the blinker stalk on the left, like I'm used to with LHD, Oh well, it never hurts to pay attention.

Yeah, that's probably what I'm doing wrong - just hitting the switch as in any other vehicle, instead of gingerly bypassing the auto feature(s).
