Maybe time for an update on the trip.
Turned out to be 1,028 miles total, and with an average of 64.25 mph, about 80% on nice curvy 2-lane roads.
Having fueled up in southern Colorado last time, I knew I wouldn't make it to Salt Lake City and back without getting fuel...which I did, once...
She recently sold that that one, and sure didn't take a beating on it.
Much like the RS6 Avant replacement I found/ordered was at just below MSRP...unlike the local dealer who wanted an extra 20K. Some CA dealers wanted up to 40K ADM.
Sometimes you can beat the system. I negotiated a deal (as usual) on a 911 Turbo S for my girlfriend.
The large Colorado dealer later told me that it was the first time they've ever discounted an order on one of those.
Just got the sales contract emailed to me from the Utah dealer.
Not only is there no $5K ADM, but I'm getting 1K off of MSRP. What a difference a dealer can make.
Local dealer (only 150 miles for me) wanted $18K, between a 5K ADM and not paying a fair value for my trade.
On Monday I'm heading to Utah to pick up a Q5. Yes, it's a 500-mile drive one way, but it saves me $8K.
Oh, the local dealer was eventually willing to take 2.5K off the ADM. Thanks but...
Not sure what I would've done in that situation.
Keep charging the dumb pickup, or leave it behind and drive the Furd. Neither would be appealing.
Most likely I would've stopped at a Dodge/Ram/Jeep dealer and bought something decent, letting the dealer figure out what to do with the crap they...
Yeah, I sure got spoiled there for a while, but got a reality check when selling the '21 Challenger just recently.
On the positive side, many of the people ordering TRXs seem to be very impatient, so one that's available now can be very appealing.
Kyle, I think you may have to lower the price a bit. Unless you luck out and find someone who thinks that it's July '21 still.
Used prices aren't what they were a year ago, and even then you could get about $9K off of MSRP,
What you describe is what I expected to happen with my Uconnect, so instead of multiple trips to the dealer (about 100 miles one way), I gave up before the process even started.
Well, it had started in early March, but UconnectCare and/or DodgeCare would send an email about once a month, so the...
I'm not going to start counting yet, but if you tell me how many it is in your case, and it sounds somewhat close, I will.
But be aware that my Jeeps alone may total more than your Mopar/Dodge/Ram/Jeep combined.
