Need advice on fighting the dreaded steering wheel vibration

My guess is that they couldn't get a decent balance on a lesser machine, so those tires got done (more) correctly. Unfortunately, it seems to be common practice to throw the tire on the balancer with whatever pressure it took to seat the beads, then worry about lowering it later. They could...

Need advice on fighting the dreaded steering wheel vibration

Why? The sidewalls are essentially a series of springs, some a bit stronger others a bit weaker. With a higher inflation pressure those differences are minimized. That's one reason a tire should be Road Force balanced with the pressure it'll be run at. Otherwise the machine won't know what it's...

Start with installing Lambo doors, upside down. That way you have four built-in jack stands. Then take all four tires to get Road Force balanced.

Need advice on fighting the dreaded steering wheel vibration

Sounds like you got two correctly balanced tires, or close to it, which were put up front. Then when you rotated the tires the two okay ones from the rear didn't feel so good anymore. Why wouldn't they balance all four correctly in the first place?

Need advice on fighting the dreaded steering wheel vibration

You mentioned those tires coming from some other source, and refer to them as three months old. That makes me wonder if that's the age of the tires, according to the DOT code, of how long you have owned them. You also say that they feel different, which could indicate that they are many years...

As I recall, they were also ordered to produce a fair amount of 4-doors, which obviously no normal person wanted, but through NSA they managed to spread enough subliminal messages to sell several of them. As a matter of fact, the effects of this quasi hypnosis were so powerful that some owners...

It is costly for a dealer to sit on a car, so that is a good bargaining tool.

Just don't forget the mandatory $4k LoJack, locking lug nuts, free-oil-changes-for-a-year at only $800, and whatever else they may have to offer.

Hellcatcfp, I just had a terrible realization. I own three 4-doors. My only redemption is that I have many more 2-doors.

Polish Black Alum Wheels or Beadlock-Capable Alum Wheels by Mopar?

Wasn't the deal that the need parts to make them bead locks had to be purchased separately? For a small fee, of course. But since the vehicles are apparently sold out, you'll have time to decide.

Hey, Hellcatcfp, I almost forgot to ask (you can also chime in, Magnified); how does it feel to be twice as likely to get a door ding?

I see how you're trying to justify a Charger Hellcat here.

To be perfectly honest, it has and has had several crew cab Rams in there. But it was brought up with those.

    To trade up or not....

I know the feeling, and can relate. Then again, I really haven't regretted a single car buy, but I sure try to forget about several that I passed on..
