    Amber Alert...."Missing Person"..

Hmm. Mention humidity and gators....and there's Hunter coming out of the shadows.

That in itself would be a great reason for having more humane humidity levels, wouldn't it? If I'm going to suffer, I don't want to also have to deal with alligators.

Today we hit 70.5 degrees. That's too much for my liking. Thankfully it's somewhat dry, at 15%. And it cools off to maybe 30 at night, which is nice for mating.

    Amber Alert...."Missing Person"..

We rarely get into the teens overnight anymore. High 20s is awfully close to having bugs and crap start showing up. Oh well, bugs are easier to deal with than alligators.

Also somewhat on subject, today a neighbor stopped by to have something welded. After seeing and talking about the skid steer he noticed my '21 Challenger GT parked next to it, then asked if it was a 'Cuda or a Challenger. Oh well, at least he didn't wonder if it was electric.

    Next Challenger E?

And here I thought it was cops and taxi drivers that had their beats, not us normal 2-door owners.

    Next Challenger E?

    You have a Charger??

    Next Challenger E?

It's certainly not just you. Besides, most thinking individuals realize that electric vehicles won't work for an awful lot of people - even if the infrastructure could support them. For example, I'd have to be more like ChargerChallenger and just buy a new one when running out of battery power.

    Next Challenger E?

It may beat walking, which I would end up doing. It's only a matter of how far from home I am when it happens.

How much wheel weight is acceptable?

To me, that would be preferable compared to spending 10 minutes per tire three times, and still not have good balance.

American. I proudly denied a dual citizenship when asked. I am out of there.

Hurricane Fuel Economy Sucks, Keep The Hemi!

A tank as a camper?!? Now that is an unusual idea. Wish I'd thought of that. Then again, a friend here has some sort of tank...maybe he'd sell it?

    Amber Alert...."Missing Person"..

In short, all family assets were confiscated, three family members managed to escape in a row boat, and the head of the family sent to Siberia. Where he was fed ice cream. And to top it off, once released, he was put in the maid's room in his own old house, the rest of the rooms occupied by...

Hurricane Fuel Economy Sucks, Keep The Hemi!

I ended up splurging, getting one that's all gone through and with a few changes (hardtop, tires and wheels) so it'll cost me over $30K. Yeah, not exactly cheap, but not too bad per pound, since they weigh over 38,000. And I won't have to change the 100 gallons of hydraulic fluid, etc.

Nope. An M936A1 this time. Wanted something capable of pulling those mere 16,000-lb. vehicles out with.

Maybe I should go, too? I have an unsettled score with those Russians. Supposedly I own a forest somewhere in Estonia, which would be fun to see, but primarily I'd like to get even with them in regards to the ship yard, houses, etc. they confiscated from my family.

Hurricane Fuel Economy Sucks, Keep The Hemi!

I may just have found "Eco". My latest acquisition supposedly gets 3-4 mpg, and it's a diesel. It remains to be seen if it'll dethrone the current champ, a 232 straight Six (gasser) which gets about 2 mpg. And that's after I put a new carb on it that can be adjusted. With the stock carb it got...

How much wheel weight is acceptable?

They're not exactly rare these days, and the Hunter web site shows who has them. Besides, there's really no point in using anything but a road force balancer. If one wants well balanced tires, that is. I wouldn't even balance my trailer tires on a regular balancer. Not when it's so easy to get...

How much wheel weight is acceptable?

There's no need to dismount the tire. A Hunter balancer can measure the rim's run-out, tell where the heavy spot on the tire is, and how much (if any) the tire should be rotated on the rim to have the two cancel each other out as much as possible. Of course, it does require someone to put the...
