I'm not so sure that the car feels abused, but I do.
Not getting to drive my favorite car for that long wasn't easy. Even dreamt about driving it the other night.
Been a bit too busy. Only time I've left the property in the past two or three (or four?) weeks was to take the new-to-me wrecker on...
Almost forgot. Yesterday what I did to it was....drive it.
It turned out to be right at six months since the oil change, so technically I should've changed the oil instead, with zero miles on it.
Didn't have enough gas to go on a fun trip up the hill, so went to the gas station instead, only...
Please. I'm a little allergic to the "fleet" word.
A guy not far enough away from here (300+ miles) refers to his two Ram 1500s as a fleet.
And his 10 undeveloped acres as a "ranch".
Hmm. I don't drink and drive. But if I did, I'd stick with one kind of beverage and would only need one cup holder. Also, my cell phone is small enough to easily fit on the passenger seat.
Aren't your roads plenty straight enough to hold a beer between your legs anyway?
Ah, I don't have to deal with passengers, paying or not. And if I did, if they can't figure out how to adjust their seat manually I'd throw them out anyway.
After Covid I'm not as slender as I used to be, but still not in need of anything spacious. Not by a long shot.
Okay, so you're taking the opposite approach, paying less, but also getting less.
My bank account seems to prefer that I pay less, then get as much as humanly possible for what I sell. That technique has served me well since long before high used car prices became a thing.
But you're right...
Glad to see that you're coming to your senses.
Anyway, I don't mind a $100K ADM, as long as my trade-in value is upped by the same amount. Of course, it'll still suck to pay the first registration on it.
What I technically should do is change the oil. It's been five months and three weeks since the 'Cat got its oil change before hibernation.
What I will do instead is go for a drive. Have felt bad about not driving the poor thing yet this year, and last night I even dreamt about it.
So some of...
That's part of it. Way too many of them in Europe.
And it was quite taxing to live there in the first place, so to speak, regardless of what vehicles were around.
It's not that I mind small spaces, I like them.
Heck, when I moved to the USA I lived in my Jeep for many months, then an 8-foot camper for another year or so while looking around and deciding where to live.
What I don't like is being close to other people. Like "vacationing" in an RV campground.
