Defaults on auto loans at all time highs

No alligator surcharge? And it has to be better to only have two doors per vehicle, so they know he's not moonlighting as a taxi driver.

Defaults on auto loans at all time highs

Another reason for my low insurance is that I haven't run a red light since moving here. It does help that there aren't any.

But rightfully so, as many of his are Furds.

    Well somebody has to know...

There's really no need to look. When cleaning the surface in preparation for the new filter, it's painfully easy to feel that it's not the flat surface it should be.

Defaults on auto loans at all time highs

No wonder I like my 'Cat. It's actually quite affordable. No payment, about $50/mo for insurance, and practically no cost for gas. Okay, the latter is proof that I need to drive it more, but still, it costs me no more than if I had some boring SUV.

    Well somebody has to know...

A modern, smart, battery charger may not put out anything if hooked up to a bad battery. You just need to be smarter than the tools you use. Or, use another (dumb) battery instead.

What are your ⛽️ TIPS ON PUMPING GAS THAT WILL SAVE YOU $$$ or other ways to stretch the mile per gallon?

Exactly. That's why I don't understand people who only put some gas in, instead of filling up..."Because it's so expensive." Well, stopping more often and then getting even more expensive gas won't help any.

What are your ⛽️ TIPS ON PUMPING GAS THAT WILL SAVE YOU $$$ or other ways to stretch the mile per gallon?

Yeah, the early vapor recovery nozzles, for example. When filling the auxiliary tank on my GMC, those nozzles always resulted in a few gallons ending up on the ground instead of in the tank.

What are your ⛽️ TIPS ON PUMPING GAS THAT WILL SAVE YOU $$$ or other ways to stretch the mile per gallon?

I've seen this one before, but still don't understand it. If their tanks were above ground, and especially if exposed to the sun, it would make some sense, but... Since ground temps remain constant at as little as 12 feet down, I doubt that the difference in volume is even measurable between...

    Security update

Security related, as far as parking at a dealer goes. Today I got the second email from Uconnect about an issue with my '21 Challenger GT, somethings that's been in the works since early March. They want me to effectively add about 40% onto the current mileage just for the dealer to verify...

And so it begins bye bye Salesman😳

It's a short read. but it is accurate.

    That's what she said.

What was your out the door price?

I noticed that. All smoke and mirrors...just like guessing what the weather will be. Thankfully, I don't exactly need yet another one.

    Stellantis and Direct Sales

Well, we sold almost as many so space doesn't really matter in that sense. Also, most sit outside anyway, like the TRXs and her new RS6 Avant. But don't worry, the Hellcats live indoors.

What was your out the door price?

Save the gray one for me, would you, Eric?

    Stellantis and Direct Sales

I also kind of enjoy the price negotiations with my favorite dealer. That's because we're friends, and I get a great deal no matter what. But that doesn't mean I can't pester him a bit and we can joke about it. This is all done over the phone, by the way, since he's 450 miles from here...

    MAY 2022 HFCOTM POLL

Yes, you can obviously rebuild engines, transmissions, diffs, etc., change ball joints, shocks and such. But it's not quite like on an older vehicle. If I put my TRX on the 2-post lift, for example, chances are good that the shocks have to be recalibrated afterwards. You can't even bleed the...

    MAY 2022 HFCOTM POLL

That's at least a voluntary choice. Unlike having to walk because the Furd broke down. Also, should the GM quit on you, you're likely to be able to fix it with ease.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

At least a daily shower for myself, but the 'Cat...no, it's been washed once, about two years ago now, Two things in my favor; the Hyper Black wheels don't really show brake dust. And more importantly, I don't use the brakes much as they tend to slow the car down.
