Selling to Carvana vs. CarGurus vs. CarMax

Carvana is currently in the lead with my Q5, and by quite a bit. I'd technically get a little more (because of the tax credit) by trading it in on the ordered Durango. But...that only works if the Durango ever shows up, and at this point I'm starting to doubt it. Besides, a $10K depreciation...

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

Speaking of hacks, would you mind trading your Granite Durango in the correct color for a white one?

All I did was order another two cases of PUP. Amazon has a darn good deal going.

Challenger Clocked At 111 In Georgia. He Was Being Tried.

It's extra fun to see people try to merge in between the trailers when pulling doubles. Most are out of patience after the first trailer, some even before it.

Hmm. My rule of thumb is twice the speed of the yellow warning signs for curves. And that includes when towing 20K+ loads. You city slickers sure drive differently.

We only have 2-laners around here, but yes, the speed limits are 55-65 mph, except in burgs and such.. Normally we can enjoy driving up 130 or so, on the few straight sections there are between the glorious curves.

I Have 2 More WB Hellcats Scheduled to be Built on July 27th!

That's basically what the plate on my girlfriend's RS6 Avant reads.

That is the whole idea, my friend. We only live once.

Are you insinuating that I should cut it down to 10?? My justification is that I like them, and they serve different purposes. Okay, that doesn't apply to the Durango and the Q5, but otherwise it does.

We don't have the dual lanes, except for the rare passing zone, but I suppose that two empty lanes are good when having to swerve around alligators. Pythons probably cover both lanes, but being a bit thinner must be better to run over.

It's the exact opposite for me. On an interstate it's basically zombie driving. Not much to do other than keep an eye out for cops, and people trying to kill me. But on the far more fun secondary roads it's a matter of not only cops (they're rare, thankfully) but trying to stay on the...

I'm glad our Challengers get about 22 and 24 mpg. If not, the puny gas tank would make them nearly as useless as an electric car. Well, obviously it's far faster and easier to get gas than charging an EV, but it'd suck not to be able to go somewhere, and back, without having to gas up.

Hmm. You're getting almost 4 mpg better, using eco mode and cruise, than my girlfriend consistently gets with her Redeye. Hand calculated since '19, by the way. And that's not obeying any speed limits on the highways, or using cruise control. Maybe you should disengage the cruise, step on it...

I'm not so sure about that. By not using cruise I can give it some extra gas before a hill, then not insist on maintaining a specific speed up the hill. Spent a lot of time watching the instant mpg reading during a few years of biweekly 1,000 mile "commutes", and learned to maximize the mileage...

I have no idea if the cruise control even works in any of my vehicles. Much prefer driving instead of just being along for the ride.

    FS '23 Durango Hellcat

Okay. But can I also get my own cell service somehow, or should I look into getting a satellite phone?

Sirius is five or six bucks per month, and works. A separate cell plan and a smart phone (the latter a one time cost) would probably be 10 times as much per month. Sirius works, cell signals not so much. Hmm, which one should I go with?

Come to think of it, using a cell phone as the source for music would be an excellent way of finding out just how many stretches of roads around here has no cell service. On the other hand, satellite (Sirius) doesn't work in tunnels or parking garages, neither of which we have anywhere near here.

Hmm. Not that I drive all that much on interstates, but find them very easy to drive on. Effortless passing etc., but quite boring. That's where people who don't actually drive should be, I think. If there's a need for special licenses it should be for driving on curvy 2-laners. Although, it...

    FS '23 Durango Hellcat

By the way, the Audi didn't get traded in. They offered some $6K below KKB trade-in value. In other words, here's your chance to get a different white station wagon, and at less than 40% of the cost of the Durango. It gets twice the mileage, too, but has noticeably less power.
