As long as I can hang onto my drivers license, the 'Cat stays.
I've had many cars I really, really liked, but the Challenger is special in several ways.
Of all things, the TRX. Keep in mind that I don't like 1/2-tons and don't care for how the new ones look, but...
After trailering my girlfriend's home and looking at the hardware underneath I was very impressed. A-arms and such looked like they belonged on a 3/4 or 1-ton. Everything was much...
Order up some magnetic level plugs (I have been using Votex from Amazon) so you can put them in when checking the levels and/or changing the fluid. Oh, and on the positive side, my '23 Durango 6.2 was the only vehicle out of quite a few over the years that actually had correct fluid levels as...
I'm pretty sure that the 6-month rule is aimed primarily at people that don't take their car to the track. Those owners are most likely aware of that the oil can take a beating from hard use.
In contrast, the owners who drive a few miles to a car show once a week, maybe cold start the car at...
My reason for the early (generally at 500-1,000 miles) fluid changes is to get the break-in crap out of there. Most all vehicles have somewhat dismal oil analysis results on their first oil, and the magnetic plugs can pick up quite a bit of ferrous particles in the beginning.

Two problems.
They haven't produced enough of them to cover a day's worth of border crossers. Secondly, he has no idea how to exit a stage, except the wrong way.
These days the engine probably doesn't need much cuddling, but there are parts behind it that could use some.
You only get one chance at breaking in the gears correctly and judging by the somewhat common complaints about noisy diffs, few people do that correctly (not even taking into account...
Well, I kinda was. Bought a heavily optioned (all but a sunroof) used Durango after the Hornets came out.
Yes, it has over 90,000 miles on it, but cost less than a new (discounted) Hornet and will likely last longer.
Plus, not being seen in a Hornet is priceless.
A couple of months ago I came across a dealer that was selling V6 Challengers for $21K, and an extra $1,500 for the AWD version.
I didn't buy one of those, so why on earth would I be interested in a homely Hornet??
Not many miles (unfortunately), there's only around 6K on them. They're timed out I think, being from '18.
But I'm impressed that the shoulders on the front still look very good. They've taken some abuse.
