What did you do to your Hellcat today?

We didn't even get into the 30s last night. Close, at 40.1, but that's too warm for lows.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

It's hot and humid here, too. Mid 70s and 32%.

Fuses not fully seated in fuse box?

That's apparently quite common on TRXs. Checked them on ours and they were fine, and wouldn't have thought of doing it if it wasn't for reading about complaints.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

At this point, the only vehicle that's likely to get the tires and wheels changed twice a year would be the girlfriend's GT AWD. Putting DWS06s on mine so I can leave them on all year. Heck, installing and removing tire chains on five non road going vehicles is more work than I care for...

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

Your thermostat is probably confused, asked to function in what's probably your ambient temp this time of the year.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

Well, it came with okay summer tires, then I got Cross Climate 2s for winter use...but we never had any winter to speak of. While the stock wheels look decent, I much prefer the split spoke design, like on the 'Cat (which came with 5-spokes). Now it'll be the wheels pictured above, with DWS06s...

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

No, not the 'Cat, but I did order a set of tires and wheels for the GT today. Hopefully the wheels look a bit like Hyper Black in real life. This will be the third set (including the originals) in less than a year...and about 1,300 miles. Oh well, it's cheaper than buying new cars.

    Auto Sales Metro Motors

Looking for a '69 Chevy I came across a place that advertises a lot - and has a 50% approval rating.

    Getting rid of redeye

Yeah, minus the "supercharged" badging on the doors and the "Trackhawk" badge on the rear lid, mine mixed in nicely. Never got around to get rid of the yellow on the calipers, but did put a "Limited" badge on the rear lid. That was because it was by far most limited Jeep I ever owned

    Getting rid of redeye

I don't think everyone knows what it is. That can be good and bad, I suppose, since most people couldn't tell my GT from the 'Cat. It's good if people think the 'Cat is an SXT or GT, but not so good if they think the GT is a 'Cat. Both are debadged, both are Granite. I'm guessing that within a...

    Getting rid of redeye

Now that you mention it, a cop I met briefly turned his blinky lights on today when we met. Of course, I wasn't quite back in my lane after passing a slowpoke when he came around a curve, and I was doing maybe 50 over the limit. That's okay, and something I can live with. Pretty sure I met the...

    Getting rid of redeye

See, that's partially why I like the GT AWD. I don't have to be nearly as worried about that one.

    Getting rid of redeye

No, checking the lug nuts is just part of my normal routine on new vehicles. Just like checking the fluid levels, installing magnetic plugs, etc. But I also (finally) got around to install the Modern Spare setup in the "2.0" GT that she bought for the 1.0. Which I obviously removed before she...

    Getting rid of redeye

One thing I find interesting is that if I change wheels on a vehicle they have to be retorqued afterwards. If a dealer or tire store installs them it's not necessary. Trailers are even worse. They want you to retorque those numerous times in the first 500 miles, then every time the trailer is...

    Getting rid of redeye

This GT wasn't the first vehicle with the wheel lock option that had loose ones. I think it was my '21 GT that was the same way. It came from a different dealer - although both in Michigan. And oddly enough, I've found regular lug nuts unevenly torqued. Not even sure how they can achieve that...

    Getting rid of redeye

Speaking of dealer prep. I'm ashamed that I didn't get to it earlier, but today I finally removed the damn locking lug nuts on my girlfriend's "new" GT, bought with 172 miles on it. Well, three of them were basically finger tight, one at maybe 50 ft.lbs. Been too busy, but that one is going on...

    Getting rid of redeye

That'll work...if you're on a diet. I'm saving for that '69 El Camino I want, but don't need. Found a really clean '68 396 SS in CA, haven't heard back from the seller yet. Hope it's nowhere near as nice as it looks, has rust, a noisy rear axle, and needs an engine. That way it'll save me from...

Brand new redeye still landing at dealer

I can see why they aren't selling, when dealers in Texas and the southeast are discounting them big time. Then again, lots of people don't shop around.

Brand new redeye still landing at dealer

Like the TRX, the GTs only come with black keys. Unless you meant drive the 'Cat with the black key. If so, I wouldn't feel any less bad after destroying it by going off the pavement regardless of if it was with 707 hp, or "only" 500. After all, they use the black keys at Radford, still...
