Finally got the GT350 up to the Dragon.

About the 15th or so time I've driven the area. Had the HellCat up there a year ago this week. NC is just opening back up so it's ghost town spooky quiet. The threat of rain I think kept many away and it did rain a little overnight. I got up there around 11a and it was mostly dry and virtually no traffic.

Passed a handful of bikes a few hrs later. The Cherohala was super foggy at the highest elevation. 15 feet visibility. If you ever get the chance to run your ride on some twistys, it's definitely the place. And not just the Dragon(US129), but the Cherohala, Foothills Parkway, NC68 South of Tellico Plains is fantastic and a good many of these roads have just been repaved. Very smooth.

They held the TN State HOG Rally in Chattanooga back in '04 I think it was. Rode over with a couple of buddies on my Springer Softtail. What a blast, AWESOME roads in that area to ride!!

Been taking bikes there for over 30 years, twice a year for a weekend. Some of the best roads around. The Dragon is 30 minutes of fun, we spend days running through Georgia, NC, and TN.

AWESOME! I may need to get my GT350 up there sooner than later. I'm a relatively short hop away in SC. I'd not considered the reduced traffic due to the current situation. May be the time to do it.

For those that have been....any E85 pumps up there? I'm on a flex tune now so good either way. Just curious.

I know there is plenty of E85 available in every direction surrounding the Dragon. Some even going the other way..."our gas is ethanol free" 😂

I'm confused by your tactics lol. So they do have E85 or are you making fun of all the folks who don't know what it is? I get that response alot calling to ask if they have E85. They always think I mean ethanol free gas.

Both. 😂 It is the backwoods of Tennessee, North Carolina and Georgia.

For those of you in Texas, make a trip to the "Twisted Sisters" around Bandera, Leakey, Camp Wood, etc. FM 335,336 and 337. Twisty and lots of elevation changes. As with the Dragon, there are better times to go than others due to motorcycle traffic. I really enjoyed driving those roads in the Scat Pack. The Hellcat was pretty spooky until I dropped it back into 500hp mode. Corner entry speed is just too damn high on street tires with no runoff area at 707+ lol.

Yeah. Lots more "lean" in the HellCat, but I was rather surprised how it handled. Ran in Sport mode and paddle shifted. Loaded up in corners better than expected and of course the Brembos. Top burst speed maybe 50, then brake it down to about 35 into the corner.

Yeah. I was thinking wrapping the roof & mirrors for an almost exact match. Then there's the DSRT. It's too damn nice to get the hood wrapped. I was looking at buying this one out in Texas. Used 2018.
