S/C lid from my 2016 Hellcat with 4200mi. I went with a Kenne Bell so this is no longer needed. You’ll see some markings in the underside of the lid from when my s/c rotors ate themselves. There is no damage or gouges to the lid, the texturing is just smoothed out a little (see close up).

I know that chrome plating retains heat in certain engine parts...what about show polishing...any thoughts...I have a retired friend that could make that look like a piece of jewelry..wont do it at the risk of added heat retention

I thought about polishing mine, but it becomes high maintenance.... one coolant leak and it will be a mess....
