I was at Steves old shop a few times, won a dyno shootout there. He had an engine dyno but shared the space with another shop that had a car dyno. He opened his new shop and I was there for their open house. A friend worked for him for years before moving to his new job in Bowling Green KY, at Holley

I have an Exotic Ducati motorcycle..(with a boat load of titanium internals)....it revs to 14,500 rpm....I shift @ 8500...(my son calls me a pussy)
It takes work to stay in it above 8500 because your ears and your brain are trained to shift there. The way around it is to intentionally shift at 14k and then your rev sweep is from 8 to 14, it’s much more natural than 1200rpm at idle up to 14k.

The bike is way too light...(BST carbon fiber wheels....carbon fiber rotors...titanium internals..trans built in Italy with all titanium internals.(cost more than the bike..one of 4 they built)..took a ton of rotatating mass...and unsprung weight outta it...209 HP @ the back wheel....impossible to keep the front wheel down over 9000...It's the only thing I own that scares the fuck outta me...and exceeds my riding skills big time...the engine spools up faster than any 2 stroke race bike I've ever ridden
