New Dodge Start Defender - Extra Protection for Your '18-23 Charger or Challenger

For 426 Day, Dodge unveils a new theft deterrent system to protect 2018 to 2023 Challenger and Charger with Hemi engines only. They told me it will NOT WORK for Durango or TRX. I'll have to follow up with Ram and see if they can work on protecting the TRX. I asked Dodge last year to look into updating the security of the Last Call cars after working with them to recover a stolen Hellcat. They said they would look into it and here we are with this system that you don't need a dealer to install.

It plugs in under the hood. You break in, pop hood, u plug it, plug regular plug back in, and it’s defeated. Pointless. That connector connects right under the strut tower brace and is easily accessible

Manual transmission cars don’t have a hood switch. So, you can’t get the “optional” (only thing keeping it from getting defeated) siren triggered based on the hood switch that would keep anyone from defeating this

Yeah I get it....when we were kids we one of you in the neighborhood...pulled all his toys apart..and could never figure out how to put em back together...only HE grew outta it.....and my hobby..c'mon...really...cant figure it out melon head......making millions...(ask those that know..the first one is the hardest)

Hmm, only works on the '18-'23 cars. Guess Dodge just figures most guys will hide the magic box behind their bushwacker fender flares. Guess us guys with proper looking cars will just stick with the Smith & Wesson security system.
