Tazer Broke My Car

Bought a new Tazer & bypass recently, mostly to get that new PIN security feature. Worked great for about 3 weeks then poof. Went to start the car, it fired up like normal then immediately would die. Tried the remote fob start and it worked like a charm until I step on the brake or tap the start button, to get it out of remote mode, then dies again. I heard they were having problems with a previous firmware version so I waited until the latest fix came out (version 2.5.8) but still apparently a no go. It corrupted the RF hub and now has to be replaced, plus getting it towed to the shop. Still working things out with Z automotive and they say they’ll reimburse me for expenses. Hopefully the tow bill too... argh!

I bought one to replace the burnbox because they said that it wouldn't turn on street traction after using the line lock. That was a lie.

We set it up and within 24 hours it killed the battery. After that nothing worked. Pulled it out of the car and it's sitting in a cabinet in my garage.

This is my fear since getting the unit about 6 months ago, but no issues yet…keeping my fingers crossed.

Had a BB kill my battery as well. Also had a pair of those Inactive Delete Modules, junk, threw codes. Since then I’ve stayed away from their products as I hear their CS is crap as well. Good luck OP.

Yep, always unplug. If you use burn box, hit the SRT button 3 times and it will put on your custom settings. So setup your custom settings, use burn box, hit srt button 3 times, send it,

So what year make and model is your car?

2015 SRT Challenger. Has a built 426. Engine builder also said his work would not affect the RF hub. He offered to do a house call and check it out but no need when Z auto fessed up. Also been driving on that engine for over 20K miles and 4 years with zero issues up until now. At least I don’t have to get it to a dealer. My performance shop said they can do the new hub for me.

I’ve never heard of the pin lockout and I wouldn’t every even try it. Sorry for your bad luck
