SFI 3.2a/5 clothing

I was looking around on what to buy and I came across Pro !.I saw Kye Kelley had a jacket on and a few of the street outlaw guys were using their safety belts The owner started the company because of a crash he had and the belts failed. Some are being made in china so they started making belts in the US around 2016. When looking at sfi 3.2a/5 cloths, there are 3 layer cotton and 2 layer Nomex. The Pro 1 is Nomex and is more like wearing a sweat jacket, very flexible and light weight. Nomex is more expensive but the Pro 1 was one of the least expensive ones I found. The pants have snaps and velcro on the front and adjustable velcro straps on the sides . They have the logo and cuff on the bottom of the pants. Pants are long but I'm short so it is what it is. The jacket and pants also have pockets which a lot of brands don't. I could wear this jacket at the track on a cool day where my Simpson jacket I wore 20 years ago I couldn't wait to get it off. My Simpson stuff looks to be Nomex so different brands may feel different. I have a cotton one that is pretty stiff that was a cheaper brand I actually never wore. The bigger warehouses don't carry the brand but you can get it direct or find someone that sells their stuff. I found a company Speedx Performance that had the best price. I placed the order through them Monday and they were shipped from Pro 1 and came today

Speedway has their own brand and the carbon fiber one is reasonable. But the knock off brand worries me

$419 shipped. Price out other brands that are Nomex and it will be hard to touch

My only other experience wearing a jacket was my Simpson that I have not wore in 10 years. It was worn in my 9 second mustang. I'm really surprised how much more comfortable the Pro 1 is

The road course I've been to says "It's your head, wear what you want." HPR in the Denver region

To me a helmet is more important if you have a cage

No I think it was called race plumbing. They have the pants and coat combo 60 off and not the other fee we don’t like 😊
