Redeye .309 Shift Points..

Has anyone noticed the 3-4 shift in the Redeye with 3.09 comes up really fast? I notice 3rd gear shift is about 88mph at redline. 4th gear redline is right around 100mph maybe 102. I usually find myself manual shifting it around 98 mph to avoid over Revving. It seems very easy to over rev this 3-4 shift when your doing a hard pull. Has anyone else noticed this? I’m wondering why they put that shift point so close? The shift point in 4th gear in the Charger is 123mph. Something seems off.

Never mind, 3rd is 82 4th is 102. Just tested in the car now

That sounds more like what I remember with my Scat Pack shift points.

Yeah that 3.09 is basically the mathematical equivalent on an old-school 4.88:1 axle ratio, excepct we get 4 more gears!

What rear tires do you run? I mean even with the 2.62s, there's really no point in 1st gear without drag radials. I do want to upgrade to a 3.09, waiting for my Trump socialism money!

Lol right now I don’t have money for tires haha. Just the stock 305s I’m running. Basically 1st and 2nd gear are useless

Whadd`ya mean 1st and 2nd gear is useless??
That`s where all the fun is listening to the tires scream for mercy as I heroically and frantically wrestle with the steering wheel trying to regain/keep control and prevent the rear end of the car from passing the front end!

Haha well I’m that case even in the Charger I can do a rolling burnout in the first 4 gears lol. So yeah.
