Yeah, it’s not a Mopar. I‘m not married to a brand. My 1st car was a 64 Barracuda, I‘ve served my time scrounging junkyards for parts. My day job is tied to another OE.

It’s got a big block and disc brakes.. it’s a GMC so leaf springs instead of trailing arms. It’s long bed, but that is temporary. 1st thing fixed was getting the throttle cable to open all the way. Next up is sorting the brakes. It’s booger green, so it’s now named booger.

Is she a 10 series? What big block is in her a the factory 402 or replaced with like a 454? And did the gas tank get relocated?

It’s C1500, so disc brakes and leaf springs unlike most C10’s. Fuel tank is still in the cab. I need to check the casting numbers, I suspect it’s a 402/396. The truck was originally a 350/350 combo.

Casting numbers checked out, it’s a 454 with 2 bolt mains and 8:1 compression. Collecting parts to get the brakes rebuilt and cut it down to a shortbed fleetside.

The previous cab corners were riveted on then covered in bondo. There was a solid 5lbs of bondo in the bottom of the cab corner and what was left of the floor. The chassis has been redone and is patiently waiting for me to finish the cab.

What the hell is that thing sitting on top of the intake manifold???

Do they call that a "carb-ur-e-tor"???

I've heard of those before, they have these mechanical linkages connected to your foot as I recall? If you step on it too fast, they have this thing called an "Egg-cell-er-a-tor" pump or something like that, right?

It’s a Holley Sniper, looks like a carb but it’s rudimentary throttle body injection. I’ve got a Quadrajet on standby.

As long as the injector clips stay on and you follow the install directions they seem to work. It’s a .060 over 454 with oval port iron heads. This thing needs to idle, keep the oil inside and not misfire.

It’s got 8.5:1 pistons and a small comp cam. If it makes 300 I’d be impressed. The trans is a super T10, so that may not live for long.

Slowly making progress. Got the cab back on the chassis, rebuilding the steering column and still working on the half rotten doors.
