Mickey Thompson says not for street use. Even though it's a dot tire. Same exact tire as the 315/60-15r Street r's with less groves. Street r' ok for Street use?

The ET-R is the street legal version of this tire. The Pro isn’t legal (bfd). Both are good for dry street use. Both would be dangerous in the rain. I have experience with both and the Radial Pro has a different (softer) rubber compound for racing. This is the tire that most of the 7 and 8 second Hellcats use. It’s as good as they get for heavy cars It’s too big to qualify for what is called small tire in sanctions that have that catagory.

D.O.T. Radials or D.O.T. Slicks on rear (Drive Tire) of vehicle. Non D.O.T. Front Runner Tires permitted on front of vehicle. Straight from NMCA Modern Hemi rules! Don't know why they bothered you Jon?

Talked to Mickey Thompson Tech. He said both tires are the same. Both same Radial construction and r2 compound. Street r has more groves.

The R has two additional grooves that qualify the tire for street use. Other than that the tires look identical. It’s been over three years now but when I went to the 15” Pro from the 17” ET-R, the compound was clearly different. They may have changed it to where they are the same now.

They probably did change the compound.

I will see Josh from HHP today I’ll talk to him
I will also have to read rules again wording sounds different from when I read them
