Intake Question

Hey Guys, I just recently purchased a 23DDSRT392 and am going back and forth with my self wondering if I should pull the trigger on a cold air intake or just keep doing what I have been with all my vehicles, which is a filter replacement with K&N drop in's and keeping the OEM intake set up. Can anyone answer if there is a difference with a full on cold air and the drop in's which are essentially the same material and if so are there any recommendations? I am also being told (from a friend DDHC owner) that a catch can should be added.

Nice ride!

I am a JLT fan and put the CAI on right away mainly because I like them and there is some hp gain according to their dyno testing. Also did JLT catch can right away - that is more important in my opinion - I don't want oil in the intake tract if I can avoid it. Easy 5-minute install and definitely works.

We did the drop in K&N on our R/T and love it.

I have a JLT on my 19 HC. Would have done an LMI, if they had one for 19's when I got mine.
I can see nothing but good coming from changing out to a CAI.
Shoot, think the dealership would even order and install a dodge CAI for you.

A lot of guys do not recommend K&N filters because of concern with how good it actually filters. I have gone with JLT on my last 3 Hemi vehicles and totally love them. Should have a little performance increase but you will love the increase in sound!

I can see nothing but good coming from changing out to a CAI.
Shoot, think the dealership would even order and install a dodge CAI for you.

I love my LMI...and with the M6...I can play it like a trumpet...(to which my wife says..ya aint Herb Alpert ya know)

Maybe if I drove it every day it would get to me...but then again my wife makes the same noise...and I've listened to that for over 49 yrs.

I put the LMI on both the Hellcat and the Redeye. The Hellcat screams louder due to the 2.85 upper pulley and I just love it.
