I'm new to the hellcat so sorry if this has been covered or is a ridiculously basic question.

My question, how does the supercharger bypass valve work? I get that it bypasses compressed air back to the inlet but when does it do so? Only at part throttle? Does it limit max boost? I started wondering this after seeing a post regarding a pulley that is advertised not to require tuning. I'm assuming the engine computer decides when and how much to bypass, just would like a better understanding on what its trying to do.

The bypass is actually like a small throttle body.
Yes it varies how much boost gets to the engine. It operates as commanded by the PCM.

I don't know for sure if it's fully closed at WOT but i assume it is.
