Caught a deer tonight. Roughed up my bumper and has it a little bit of deformation.. pictures to come in the morning. No super serious damage, but the front fascia is too loose for my liking...

You toss the dear in the trunk (real quick)?
I mean, if you gotta pay for damages, you might as well get some steaks.

By the way, it sucks to hear.
I have to watch out for them (during winter) all the time.

Sorry to hear about that. Hope you can get everything back in order. Plenty of deer in Michigan to watch out for

Yep, plenty of deer in Michigan.....see one on drive to work almost every day. So far, so lucky.
@T_Trahan44..sorry to hear about hit, glad it was minor, most times around here if you clip a deer, it's major damage, have seen completely totalled cars and minivans many times.

No, she got up and bolted away real quick. I'll get some pictures before work.

Looks like mostly deformation. I'll have to pull the front clip off and see if any clips or anything broke. Thankfully, she doesn't look too rough. Though, the top end does sag a little downward.

Bummer, hopefully just mounting points are broke. You must have great reaction time to stop that quick!

I've got decent time. 😁 But I was also only doing about 40.

I've seen deer do amazing things and run away, only to drop dead in their tracks.

As an example, I shot a deer clean through its heart with a 357Maximum, the heart looked like hamburger more than it did like a heart. That deer ran for a LONG time before it dropped dead.

So it might have looked like the deer was fine, but I'm betting it's got some jacked up internals...

'Glad your bumper isn't worse off than it is. Unfortunately it might not be bad enough to mess with an insurance claim...

Does not look bad. Good stopping! If that thing sags, claim it and get it replaced. There are lots of energy absorbing items in that bumper. Plus if you leave it and repaint you will always see it yourself. Have someone good look at it.

I can get a new fascia online fairly cheap. And I can do most the body work myself. Insurance rates going up over this versus a little out of the pocket money, and I think I'm gonna go with redoing it myself. There's not really a shop around my town I trust. I sell parts to most of them and they aren't that trustworthy, if you know what I mean.

Hoping it's a couple broken clips. My buddy's at my local dealer ships will probably hook me up fairly cheaply.
