I can see the same thing happening here. My natural gas cost, to heat my house, has more than doubled over last winter! Has to be affecting the cost to generate electricity at those nat. gas fired power plants too.

Our local electricity provider sent a letter to FJB saying the shortage of natural gas used to generate power may result in rolling blackouts.

“New England will not have sufficient natural gas to meet power supply needs for the region in the event of a severe cold spell this winter.” And “If we have a moderate winter, there is not going to be any issue."

So far, so good. BTW: My elect rates are up 80% over last year. A friend that lives 30 mi away said his is has tripled.

I am staying with gasoline or a nice hybrid at worst.

Both electricity and especially natural gas costs this year are killers for the heating bills.

Yep. I don’t know what their deal is. Nat. gas stocks are tanking so no retail price impact with them I guess.

Some of these math genius’s need to learn the old math.

100 mi @ 20 mi/gal = 5 gal. 5 gal @ $3.5 = $17.5 so with just some simple calcs how TF can they say it only costs $11.29/100 miles???

I am so tired of damn near everything being bull shit that is on the internet or reported to us.

Regular here is $3.39, at 30mpg = $11.30/100mi. I guess there are some people out there that drive s-boxes and use regular.
