Here is how much you lose by removing the stock stuff.. View attachment 21878

Somehow I think there are notable differences in O.E. battery weights.

I think my battery alone is more than that?

Will weigh it in the morning

Not sure if the batteries are different or the scales are off. I have see 44-48 lbs for the stock battery

Mine and B Mason weighed the same. Looks like we have the same exact scale also

My weight there also includes the metal hold bracket with the strap.

So what’s everyone 2nd choice if you don’t wanna spend the 800$?
I was looking at the red top Optima battery. 250$
When I was a teenager we used to but those batteries for our sound systems.

I just looked, it says 38.8 lbs. , would defiantly save some $ & 6 or 7 lbs.

So, first, I was wrong, I just went and weighed my original O.E. battery, and it came in at 44.74lbs.

Somewhere I had it in my mind that the O.E. battery was 52lbs.

Bottom line, I'm glad this thread came up, there is another spot where we are calculating cost/lb, and this correction will make a notable difference.

Thanks all

;)

You know, now that I'm over 50, everything seems heavier than it actually is.

I was fortunate to get one back when he had that forum deal for $400. He messed up my order and caused a delay with me getting it so he knocked another $50 off. That was very nice of him. only question I have now is.... with that 10 year warranty I have, do I get one of the new $800 versions if mine goes bad? 🤔

Exactly what I was thinking, or have to pay just a little more for the new version ?

What ?.... you mean if the original goes bad within the warranty period, we only get $50 off the new price ?
If that's true ?...that's BS.

Good Luck with testing on the new one & since you are talking to him, please ask him - what's up with the replacement of the original one under warranty, if you don't mind, Thanks.
