2020 Order Banks Closed

I have it from a good source that 2020 ordering IS closed.

The order banks for the 2020's closed last night (Sept 3) and the 21s just opened up for ordering today ( Sept 4). So as of now the 21s are available for ordering.

I'm guessing the 20's will show a low production number due to the COVID situation closing the auto plants.

Not too many of these fast cars are really collectible anymore unless they are a special limited production. WB Chargers don’t mean much to most. Maybe the 6.2 Daytona Charger or a Redeye? Possibly the 1320? The problem is the prolific number of 700+HP Dodges of all kinds out there. It is probably over 50,000. The classic Street Hemi cars were few and far between with only a little over 8,000 or so produced from 1966-1971. They are collectible to people who want a classic musclecar...but even those collectors are few and far between anymore unless it is a pretty special Hemi car. I would not think a WB Charger is collectible at this point?

It would be for taxi drivers that only drive in roundabouts.

If anything, the cars (so far) that may be collectible are Demons, NB redeye challenger, 50th Gold Rush challengers since that was the ONLY version you could get GR paint on. (though that may change) Maybe the 1320 since small numbers, Poss WB redeye Chargers cuz $$$$$. Scarcity of survivor cars drive collectibility a lot and I dont think these cars will be that scarce.

Ok need you guys’ help. I want to order a 2021 challenger hellcat Widebody NON redeye in manual. Everything from fca fact sheet for 2021 says this is possible but my dealer says dealer connect is not giving them these options to select. Mainly the manual and the standard hellcat in Widebody. Anyone with dealer connect that can verify or check this? My dealer may not be the brightest but they’ve bent over backwards in the past to work with me on deals and would like to use them if possible. Seems they just need walked through in this....

Ask them to give you the list of sales codes. If there's some reason those options can't be had, you'll find them.
But even if there's no obvious reason, that doesn't mean Dodge is accepting orders for certain things.

Can anyone with dealer connect or more knowledge on this comment? Wondering what's going on and if these options will eventually be available in dealer connect.

Your dealer should definitely know this process as it is basic knowledge needed to order cars. If they are saying it is grayed out/unavailable now, then that's the case.

No info on when it will be as it has not been officially announced it is not available. Generally when they gray out certain options for order, it IS NOT a large, widescale announcement.

I've seen your posts regarding this lately. What do you feel the situation is based on some people receiving info from dealers saying no more manuals for 2021 yet FCA's fact sheets show 6 speed manuals are standard equipment up through the regular hellcats?

I trust FCAs official announcement rather than some franchise owned dealer.

They hold off on colors and options all the time, like when some colors don't get built until "February 20xx". This could be the case. A dealer will need to talk to their regional rep who is supposed to have a solid connection with production schedulers in FCA to get answers.

Well, I got my answer. Manuals for regular hellcats are late availability but they will be available! Another dealer saw the same thing as the first but dug deeper and looked up the available options and their codes and under hellcat the tremec 6 speed manual shows late availability. Just wanted to update in case someone else is searching for this.

Funny how the local rep said no more manuals in 2021 with certainty. Don’t always trust the so called “informed people.”
