EV Sales Are Just Getting Started?

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ev+cold+weather Search away... I drove around a fair bit for work during this cold snap....I know how many EVs I usually see and I saw NONE on the road. When you burn all your battery storage making heat, you don't get very far. I like the technology...

EV Sales Are Just Getting Started?

This was over a week ago...it was -46C at my place. A few areas had 30 min rotating blackouts....my place stayed up. I do have a Generlink transfer switch and a 9000watt generator for backup. EVs don't function at these temps PERIOD.

Sixty-Thousand to Replace a Hyundai Battery

Funny guy! I keep both my garages heated all winter...and I have AC in my big garage for the summer....and beer fridges in both!

Sixty-Thousand to Replace a Hyundai Battery

Hold my beer….I am still using a 1939 GE fridge as my garage beer fridge. Have to manually defrost it 2-3 times a year, but keeps on cooling.

Toyota Wants To Keep ICE Sports Cars Alive With Hydrogen

T This is what I mean though….the process to get pure hydrogen uses more energy than the resulting product can produce. So in essence the hydrogen car is still “coal powered” much like an EV.

Toyota Wants To Keep ICE Sports Cars Alive With Hydrogen

I like the concept. But if I understand correctly, to get pure hydrogen requires a lot of electricity....?

Another Year, Another thread on Winter storage. Please post up, what do you do and what do you use. IE Batteries, Fluids, Cover, you know the rest!

I do exact same as Jroyk…except it will be next weekend. I’ve got a Burnbox, but I use a Battery Tender Jr….original battery still. (2016 HC)

RF Lockout Install scheduled for Tuesday…question please…

My car is a 2016 and off warranty…so since it’s a TSB, not a recall, it’s on my dime.

RF Lockout Install scheduled for Tuesday…question please…

Well I was in at 8:30, out at 9. Cost 100 bucks. All three fobs still work. (I brought all with me) Worst part was it was pouring rain…first time my car has seen rain. Lol. The 305 Nitto 555s get a little sketchy over 60mph.

RF Lockout Install scheduled for Tuesday…question please…

Mine goes in tomorrow AM. I am really saddened by Speedy’s loss, but the wake up call to the rest of us should not be ignored. Thanks to all in this thread (Old MG) for the info. I will relate my experience tomorrow.

RF Lockout Install scheduled for Tuesday…question please…

It’s right in the TSB that all codes have to be cleared and the customer notified.

RF Lockout Install scheduled for Tuesday…question please…

I’m booked in for Thursday to get this done as well. Went through my fobs today….for some reason the black one was dead. Lol. Anyways, was told to bring all the fobs…hopefully goes easy.

    Crappy timing, heat and all!

I had a 2010 GM 5.3 wipe out a lifter and cam. Took it to a shop that does fleet work and has done MANY 5.3 GMs and MANY 5.7 Mopars. Both fail for similar reasons: issues with the cylinder deactivation system (turns engine into a V4 for mileage). Their system was to not TDC the motor at all...

Best car cover for indoor storage

Nobody uses the cover that came with the car? That’s what I use over the winter.

    Street Car or Race Car?

On the topic of the cage/roll bar…when I bought my 69 Dart it came from out of province, so I required an OOP insurance inspection. It had a 6pt bar, frame connectors, Cal Tracs, 451 stroker, etc. No mechanic shop would certify it. It is, as Speedy said, due to the change in crash...

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

I don't. It was a "bullseye" about 1/2" across. After the repair, all you can see is a rough tick on the outside...like a sand pitting. From the inside it's 95% clear....if you know where to look you can see it slightly where the goop filled it. I've used that Permetex kit probably 10-12 times...
