Looking for Demon 170 Owners to Provide Information to Help Me Decide

Let's hope it happens. And in his case one of them won't be a Crew Cat, so only six doors total..

Lithium ion battery for the Hellcat

In reality it's up to two year old gas and no tune. The stock 'Cat is plenty good for my usage. There's a reason I declined getting a free Redeye...I really like my car as it is, and the way it looks.

Lithium ion battery for the Hellcat

Ah, sorry, for some odd reason I thought the discussion was about top speed, not acceleration.

Lithium ion battery for the Hellcat

Well, I differentiate between whatever speed is reached during certain circumstances and what a vehicle's actual top speed is. Otherwise I could claim that my car's top speed is around 160, because that's all I got to before running out of straight road. But according to Dodge it should be...

Lithium ion battery for the Hellcat

It has to be a fine balance between traction and rolling resistance. Once having found tires good for 300-400 mph in the first place.

Lithium ion battery for the Hellcat

That is true, but the max speed over a certain distance or time is not the same as a vehicle's actual top speed. Well, with very underpowered vehicle it could be. Hell, I can reach the top speed of my Daihatsu HiJet just going to the post office. At events like Bonneville, where finding a...

Lithium ion battery for the Hellcat

Huh? To set speed records (or at least increase the top speed) by being lighter? Guess I'm too stupid to understand how lower weight could improve the top speed. But at least I'm not alone.

Lithium ion battery for the Hellcat

You're obviously not talking about the Chevy version. Those are over 3,500 lbs. each.

Lithium ion battery for the Hellcat

Looks like not even the land speed record chasers have learned about that yet. They're all concerned about aerodynamics and power instead. Which makes perfect sense if going by what basic physics dictate.

Lithium ion battery for the Hellcat

Maybe just keep fewer volts in the stock battery? Not that I know how much a volt weighs.

Lithium ion battery for the Hellcat

It shouldn't be any faster, or slower. Weight really have nothing to do with top speed. It'd take longer to reach that speed, but it'll be the same.

I would put Star Tron in the tank, then give it a couple of hours to do its thing. If it works in my storage tank (now about three year old gas) it should work in the car, too.

They look the same when on a shelf. And the car will look better with them on the shelf.

That kind of seller I'd do my best to avoid. If the car has been left alone for two years, garaged of course, that would be my preference. But I would want to be the one who starts it when it's time.

That they looked at you instead of the car should've been a strong hint.

    2023 Demon Splitter Protection

That wouldn't bother me. But it's easier to put them on the garage shelf (or in the trash) where they belong than to paint them and then put them on the shelf or throw them away.

    Slow learner, huh?

    2023 Demon Splitter Protection

Alright, I have pristine ones...for a mere $950. Plus shipping, since they're so precious.

Want to charge an EV? How much will it cost?

Meanwhile, I passed on a $35/mo VW lease.
