Want to charge an EV? How much will it cost?

Yep. And why take such obscure factors such as wind resistance into account? Makes believing in what our Lie-O-Meters claim for mpg seem quite reasonable in comparison.

Want to charge an EV? How much will it cost?

I'd love to perform a controlled test of one in my environment. Let's say its an ideal (for the car) 70 degrees. I don't use A/C and certainly wouldn't need the heater so that's not a factor. All we have here is 2-lane highways so that puts it at 310 miles, supposedly. Let's also say that I...

    Oil sale..

Not to worry, you cars will give you friendly reminders within a few seconds. Besides, it couldn't be much worse than dealer oil changes. At least you'd forget to put the correct oil in it.

    Oil sale..

It's better to change it before storing the car, but there might be a good compromise for some elderly and retired people. You should consider draining the oil in the fall, then adding the new oil in the spring. That'd also keep you busy for two months.

Want to charge an EV? How much will it cost?

Luckily the fuel I use is nowhere near that heavy. Besides, there's no law against not filling the tank to capacity. Before leaving and while on a trip I don't eat or drink anything, so driving for 12 to 14 hours without stopping is no big deal. It's having to stop for fuel before I need to...

Want to charge an EV? How much will it cost?

And a diesel, a lot easier yet.

Want to charge an EV? How much will it cost?

That doesn't surprise me, but out here the gas stations can be farther apart than your states back there in the east are wide. Also, it's nice not to have to pull into the few there are any more often than necessary when pulling up to 38-foot trailers. Plus, being more able to pick where I get...

    POST PICTURES OF YOUR CHALLENGER

It's so easy a caveman could do it. But maybe not a New Yooker.

Want to charge an EV? How much will it cost?

I suppose in theory the 3500 could get 15 mpg, if driving slowly and not towing anything. But since its sole purpose in life is to tow, a minimum of about 8,000 and up to 25,000 lbs., it generally gets between 5 and 10 mpg. Sometimes into the 11s. So not quite 1,500 miles - which would be...

Want to charge an EV? How much will it cost?

I would gladly pay whatever it takes to be able to go wherever I want/need to go without being "tied to an umbilical cord". There's a reason I added a 46-gallon auxiliary tank to the factory 74 gallon capacity my Ram 3500 has. There just aren't all that many gas stations in some areas around...

    Banned friends.

I'm glad that you're an American, and a Republican. As Meatloaf said, two out of three ain't bad.

Not sure I want to know, but what's with your current infatuation with bots all about?

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

Yep. Tucked away vs. come take me. Or at least hit me while driving by. I'd be sleeping in mine (and well armed) if I had to park in a place like that.

    Banned friends.

I thought you knew how to drive in snow and didn't need to whip around with chains.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

It's easier said than done to buy new tires these days. Ordered a set earlier this year, and when they arrived two of them had date codes from early '23. Tire Rack claims that "new" tires are still perfectly fine to sell for up to four years. Meanwhile their parent company (Discount Tire) won't...

I'm a figment of your vivid imagination, so why BOT HER?

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

It was so friggin' nice to drive it. I may take another drive or three if the weather holds. The bummer is that I'll have to drive very sedately because of the ancient tires.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

I took a quick drive today to blow the cobwebs off and get the oil warmed up before the hibernation. To accomplish that I did two things. First was to make a cover for the oil cooler so I didn't have to drive up the road to 10,000 feet (hear that, 2nd?) like I usually do to get it warm. Then...

Need New Opinions On Tires Please

What if he's capable of taking photos but unable/unwilling to post them? Yes, there are people like that. Well, one anyway.

When should a new vehicle warranty start?

A car is considered "new" until it's titled.
