LOOKING FOR A GOOD DASH CAM TO PURCHASE. RECOMMENDATIONS SOLICITED.

I really like my ReplayXD. It's very small, and can be set to write over what's there as the card fills up. It probably has close to 100,000 miles on it by now, in different vehicles, over almost 10 years.

    Blizzak DM-V2 (Rear only?)

Is that what causes it? I have been blaming my right foot for the Hellcat's tread usage, regardless of temperature or tire type.

School me on the difference between 4WD vs AWD.

You left out the full-time 4WD vehicles, most of which used the NP203 transfer case, and many with Quadra-Trac. The center differential, or lack thereof, is indicative of which kind it is, but doesn't differentiate between full-time and AWD.

School me on the difference between 4WD vs AWD.

Not always. Not if you put it in 4Hi, 4Lo, or Neutral, right? Can't remember if putting it in Neutral made it flat towable or not, but I don't think so.

    Blizzak DM-V2 (Rear only?)

I did the mistake of putting winter tires on the rear (only) on a sports car once. Sure, I could get going easier, and get up hills better, but then there was this little issue with turning. My usual driving style did not work, at all. Instead of the rear swinging out and the car go through the...

Another migrant from YouKnowWhereWIthTheNewSoftware.org and .com

Isn't it a requirement to have posted a photo of your car to be eligible for Founding Member status. I could've swore I read that somewhere on the web, so it must be true.

FCA killed the idea of Hellcat Jeep Wrangler correct?

No, while there is an area with somewhat similar terrain west of Farmington, that's Truckhaven in CA. By Salton City. Farmington has mostly rock, Truckhaven is a weird dirt that the rain shapes into neat "micro canyons" which I love to explore. Sometimes successfully, other times not so much...

FCA killed the idea of Hellcat Jeep Wrangler correct?

Yes, I do have a small V8 in my Jeep, but it's mostly helpful in the dunes and on the road. For the most part, about 30 hp is all it needs for the 'wheeling I do.

A waste of a good engine, I think.

I thought I'd wake up the Trackhawk Forum

We're too far apart, or I'd offer to pull your Furd (and trailer) with my Ram when you need help next time.

What vehicle do you absolutely love, but will never buy?

Thanks, Old Mopar Guy, the Amphicar reminded me: I would love to have a Fiat 500 (a real one), but it won't happen.

Hell Kitty Mazda Miata Tops $36K At Barrett-Jackson

I'd have to swallow hard to buy a Miata. But if it was even remotely close to being a sleeper, I would probably consider it. Good thing it's not, as swallowing may be part of Miata ownership from what I hear.

What vehicle do you absolutely love, but will never buy?

It's pretty sad when I can't think of another vehicle I love, let alone really would want, that I don't already have. Or maybe that's a good thing? Admittedly, I am eyeballing a cheap Jeep J8, just because.

And why would it? So you can keep your hands warm while waiting for AAA?

Same here. The nearly mandatory summer afternoon thunderstorms, but rarely a full rainy day. As far as quantity and ferocity goes, living on a ridge in SoCal was miserable. Not that it rained often, but when it did...

    Manual Transmissions Are The Best!

    Can't really do that, no.

    Manual Transmissions Are The Best!

I commuted to work with a crappy car, three on the tree, non-synchro 1st, for about four months. That drive took me through the Capitol, by the way. And your example above is another reason I don't like all the current nannies. You can't crank your way to anywhere when the starter won't work...

Hmm. I've never driven my Challenger in rain. It's been either dry or snowy. It does much better in the dry.
