    Hellcat Weight

Checked the registration for my '18, which doesn't have the dually fenders or sunroof, but has the the automatic and dumb stereo stuff taking up space in the trunk: 4,353 it says.

    Mid size SUV help?

And then there's me. I can't even remember the last time I saw a vehicle before buying it, and many times without having seen photos. But those weren't "pre owned" vehicles, they were used. Many of them custom builds. Ones you can't buy new. Anyway, so far it has always worked out, and I've...

    Mid size SUV help?

True, it was most likely washed frequently, but was it driven short distances or until the fluids were actually warm? City, mixed, or mostly highway mileage? Dealer serviced or serviced correctly? Was it even remotely close to being broken in properly? Buying used could be a perfect example of...

    Mid size SUV help?

What if that someone else gave the vehicle a beating?

    Mid size SUV help?

Here you go, Mr. Brit. Fancy stuff, huh?

    Mid size SUV help?

Hmm. I looked a day or two ago, and all I found was a mediocre interest rate. I'll have to check again.

    Mid size SUV help?

I thought they looked larger than I had expected, until I saw that it's Hammond.

    Mid size SUV help?

I knew it sounded too good to be true. Oh well, at least my three are more practical. So there.

    Mid size SUV help?

Hey, I may take you up on that! But you may not be overly eager to trade once you find out that one's a '75 4WD converted Postal Jeep, one an '05 Daihatsu HiJet dump truck, and one an '08 "military" Jeep JK. Those three are actually what I drive most often, followed by center steering...

So the RHD versions are more dependable, you say? Good to know, since I have three RHD vehicles (no Range Rovers, though).

Trackhawk is dead no more better grab one while you can

Yep. Darn run flats. I hope they wear out quickly.

Trackhawk is dead no more better grab one while you can

I think the AWD is getting a bit more blame than it deserves here. Yes, the transfer case is part of the drivetrain, but it would be interesting to know how much power it consumes all by itself, without any front axle shafts or driveshaft. And the lower gearing must factor in. I suspect that...

    Mid size SUV help?

As EricG would say: A no-brainer. After all, why did you get a Hellcat instead of a V6 or N/A V8?

    Mid size SUV help?

We're about to trade in a perfectly good Macan Turbo, which my girlfriend really, really likes. Will she prefer the Trackhawk that's on order? My guess is that within two years she'll get her third Macan.

Trackhawk is dead no more better grab one while you can

Notice that I wrote "to my surprise". Then again, not much earlier we had been testing mileage gains with a full-time GM converted to a basic 4x2/4x4 system with free wheeling hubs. Thought that there was something wrong with the test equipment, as after numerous tries we were faced with worse...

Trackhawk is dead no more better grab one while you can

I find those DC numbers a bit odd. Yes, the Challenger is a brick, but the 'Hawk is a larger box. But be that as it may, those 3.70 gears (while helped slightly by taller tires) seem to play a big part. Enough so that the 'Hawk's Lie-O-Meter only reads up to 20 mpg, rather than the 30 I'm used...

    Dealership Stuntin'?

No kids, that I know of. Maybe that's where I went wrong?

    Dealership Stuntin'?

Oops. Another thing I don't have. Guess I'll just drive the 'Hawk from now on. They're more youthful, aren't they?

    Dealership Stuntin'?

Not only that, but I'm apparently missing all the personal accoutrements. Wearing jeans, a T-shirt, and boots, I'd be lucky to get to park with the mechanic's personal cars, I guess.

    Dealership Stuntin'?

I stay away from dealerships, so I wouldn't know if people do dumb stuff like that.
