I keep seeing 196 for the Charger. Is that with all four doors open?

Now that you mention it, the Blues Brothers also drove a 4-door cop car.

    Let's hope so!

Either way, as is usually the case, UAW doesn't exactly help things along.

Could it be that they want to get a pay increase in the process, then?

Supposedly they tried to reopen, but UAW didn't want to. Which, if they make more staying home, makes sense.

A taxing drive, having to make sure that four doors are properly closed?

No fair comparing a V6 Challenger to a Charger Hellcat. Oh, wait...those are pretty comparable now that I think about it.

It pretty much had to be. Those taxis...err, Chargers, wouldn't get up to 180 on a regular flat road.

Here the cops are told not to pull anyone over now. That's in addition to their standard no-pursuits policy. Good thing fuel is cheap, as I use a lot of it.

Oh, just speeding? I suspected something juicier than that. Like maybe blowing 0.11 or 0.12.

    APRIL HFCOTM VOTE / POLL

Uh, oh. And I haven't sent in my form for requesting an absentee vote form yet.

What is your favorite Challenger Hellcat exhaust brand?

For whatever reason, my '18's exhaust is much louder than that on my girlfriend's Redeye, and it has more blower whine. She can probably dial her exhaust up a bit with the settings, but I can't make mine quieter. If it was any louder, I wouldn't like taking long drives with mine.

    WINDAGE. Not a problem anymore?.

Engine Masters (Freiburger) had an interesting episode that showed (on a dyno) how much power and oil pressure was lost with too much oil in the pan. Even the recommended amount was too much at times.

    Dealer oil change using 5w20

Yup. Up to six months in our case. Assuming that the garage you use for winter storage isn't too hot.

If so, he's the most intelligent idiot I've ever met.

    "Nice truck"

As you know, the M1009 came with 3.08 gears. Yuck. Needed taller tires for freeway speeds, but that made it even more gutless. Ended up with the turbo, a built 700R4, and 3/4-ton axles with 4.10s. Nearly perfect. Well, as long as I wasn't in a hurry, and remembered my earplugs.

    "Nice truck"

Ouch, that sounds brutal. Now, if you want utility without a hint of sport, this is what I drove for some 10 years. Even with a Banks turbo and 4.10 gears, it was a (heavy) dog.

    "Nice truck"

We're getting some 140 inches on average. They use cinder and salt, but must go easy on the salt part. I never washed that XJ, have never washed the 1500 (no car washes around here), but no damage. Also, while not subjected to road salt, even bare steel laying around doesn't rust here...
