Just another day in Albuquerque...Demon at the grocery store

I dunno. I suspect that many meticulously waxed and detailed cars have "dirty underwear". Nobody sees the chassis, so out of sight, out of mind. My Challenger isn't exactly clean up on top, and it really doesn't bother me. But it made me very happy to see this (again) when changing the oil on...

    TRX Orders

Very little. Color, Level 1, tonneau cover, brake control (strictly for resale), and the blind spot stuff.

Thanks. Do keep in mind that this is an ordered vehicle. And that's the beauty of this little dealership - they need sales to maintain dealership status, and while I'm sure they make decent money on most sales, everybody I've referred have been very happy. Needless to say, I am, too. And it...

Yes, it definitely does simplify things when buying through a dealer that knows me, but at least three of out the recent purchases have been "cold call" ones from other dealers. All out of state. But I'm too stupid to learn, so I still start by calling ABQ and Santa Fe dealers. And they still...

We usually buy from Classic Motors, in Richfield, UT.

Uh, uh, not me. But her 2-door to crewcab ratio will now be a dismal 50/50.

    TRX Orders

Looks like production finally started, so now we'll order one. Called a few local dealers, one of which wanted 10K over, and one wanted MSRP. Called my go-to out of state dealer, and will get about 8K off MSRP, which is just over 77K.

I don't remember for sure if it was Melloy, but this morning I called a few dealers to get a price on an ordered car. I know it wasn't LHM, so most likely it was Melloy. Their price was 10K over MSRP. Got a call back from my out of state go-to dealer, and we'd pay about 8K below MSRP instead...

If you can afford an RT from your local dealer, you can afford an SRT from somewhere else. Maybe even a Durango Hellcat if you order it in Utah.

And the best part (and the reason they look so good): There are only four doors between both of them.

Yellow splitter guard removal 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody

Another reason to be single. Heck, my girlfriend doesn't have that crap on her Redeye, and she's happy.

Hellcat owner no longer/ Lease turn in thread

Yeah, on Ram pickups it's starting to look as if it might be cheaper to order a new one (at a good dealer) than to buy a used one. It's nuts.

That would be me. And while it may cost me money to buy a car, I really like that it's not a "rental", but mine. Heck, it can take me a year or two before a vehicle feels like it's mine anyway. Or should I say, before we're good friends. Tax wise a lease would do nothing for me, so no incentive...

Hellcat owner no longer/ Lease turn in thread

Did I mention that I like to be able to say "It's mine"? Well, there is that painful three month period that I do have to keep a car financed in order to get several thousands off. Then it isn't mine, and as much as I hate owing anybody anything, I do. Plus it does cost me $200-$300 in...

    Opinions?

Oddly enough, the guy who bought it spent all kinds of money and made it look nice, too. Enough so that it supposedly spent time at Petersen's Automotive Museum. Lost track of it after he died. Which was not caused by him driving that Jeep, by the way.

Hellcat owner no longer/ Lease turn in thread

That's the part I couldn't handle, spending lots of money yet not own the vehicle. I want to be able to say "Yes, that's my car" if someone should ask me.

That's a Challenger thing. Those 4-doors are usually rented or leased. After all, what is a "fare" if not taxi speak for paying rent?
