    First Mod for my TRX

Just don't fill them to the point that the bump stops have to be lowered.

    Thoughts on the Jeep

It's convenient as can be. Just pull up to the pump and fill up, without having to get out of the seat. Add an overdrive and there's four levers. Ideally also a PTO for a 5th one. Yum.

    Thoughts on the Jeep

Sorry to hear that. I have obviously done my fair share of Bronco (and Toyota, and everything else) bashing, but wouldn't think of leaving a fellow 'wheeler behind, regardless of what they're driving. If nothing else, the get unstuck and repair adventures are usually half the fun of a good...

    Thoughts on the Jeep

I'm guessing that they needed to keep the corporate average mpg figures down somehow. Our cars don't exactly help it.

    Thoughts on the Jeep

And you wonder why I like real Jeeps? They have no doors. Of course, that has lead to a few discussions when registering some of them. It has to be a 2-door or a 4-door according to some authorities.

Oh it was. No doubt about that.

    Thoughts on the Jeep

Heard that yesterday, which made me wonder if they trademarked the name. I think Jeep did it some time in the Seventies.

    Thoughts on the Jeep

You had to remind me, didn't you? I lowered and sectioned an ex postal Jeep, then put a built 400 smallblock in it. That thing tried to kill me every time I drove it.

    Thoughts on the Jeep

I'm probably a Jeep person, having had at least one since buying my second car, and maybe 35 or so since. My third Jeep, which I still have, has been on more trails than I could possibly remember, been driven cross country, and I lived in it for over six months once getting to L.A. after that...

    SRT is DEAD!

I know, I know. She brought it up, again, about a week ago. For us it would be more of a financial thing, though. It would be a shame to lose out on her substantial assets (financial, mind you) if something happens to her. Conversely, she wants me to make a list of who gets what car, or piece...

    SRT is DEAD!

Holy crap! I figured those things would be costly, but that's absurd. And as you pointed out, solar panels are extra.

    SRT is DEAD!

You remembered correctly...for a change. Now I'm waiting for ChargerChallenger's response to your dirt slinging post. Although, for all I know, he had one of those Furds.

    SRT is DEAD!

Oh, I had quite a few fox bodies back in the day. Now I'm stuck with one (my current girlfriend). Anyway, if you were referring to those Furds...hate to tell you, but I never had enough tools or patience to own one.

    SRT is DEAD!

I don't even want to know how much one of those would cost, or how many it would take to charge a car over night. The output per unit isn't overly impressive so it would take a few, I'd think. Maybe enough to make my diesel generator seem like a bargain, and it runs regardless of weather...

    SRT is DEAD!

Well, apparently the idea was to use solar panels, in order to not tap into the general grid. So that leaves having a solar powered battery bank large enough to charge up an electric vehicle's batteries over night. I'm way to lazy to look up any numbers, but based on that many electric vehicles...

    SRT is DEAD!

It does. Makes some wonder why a good looking car got four dually fenders slapped onto it. But at least it's not four doors...

Help me Pick my new RAM TRX Color!

I always liked the correctly positioned cab lights, since they allow me to dim my headlights right before they would blind the driver. Now that they have turned into a fashion statement instead, the Raptor, TRX (and apparently also Toyota) drivers won't get that advantage.

Help me Pick my new RAM TRX Color!

Hmm. Looking at that last photo it seems like the outermost marker lights are amber, not red. Used to be that anything behind the rearmost axle had to be red. Those cry closets must've changed a few more things than I thought.

Help me Pick my new RAM TRX Color!

Yeah, I wondered about the Raptor, too. As I recall, they have what Ram copied.

Help me Pick my new RAM TRX Color!

Wonder what changed? It used to be that cab marker lights were supposed to be mounted as high as practicable, and I think it's been a while since only three were enough. Maybe since the Fifties? Also, they're called cab marker lights for a reason.
