Can the Ram 1500 TRX Still Be Cool Without 702 HP? We Think So

There, I fixed it for you, Magnified.

Can the Ram 1500 TRX Still Be Cool Without 702 HP? We Think So

Hey, it beat out the Gladiator Ecodiesel (3rd place) in Four Wheeler of the year. And a regular Gladiator, and a GMC V6, and a Nissan. That's not saying much.

Can the Ram 1500 TRX Still Be Cool Without 702 HP? We Think So

Well, yeah, it probably wouldn't make much sense on an Ecodiesel forum. And should I also point out that it rides and handles like a marshmallow? Maybe not compared to an English double decker, or a 3/4-ton with a camper on it, but still.

Can the Ram 1500 TRX Still Be Cool Without 702 HP? We Think So

Looks like I'm safe. They don't make any kind of Gen 5 1500 in a 2-door.

Can the Ram 1500 TRX Still Be Cool Without 702 HP? We Think So

I hope they don't make even a normal height 2-door. If so, it'd be hard to resist. And I really don't want to end up with as many vehicles as you have.

    200 MPH Club Taxi

A single seat taxi? They're on the right track. Now eliminate two doors.

Can the Ram 1500 TRX Still Be Cool Without 702 HP? We Think So

Yeah, that's what I'd like it for, too. I'm sure that if coming from a normal 1500, the TRX feels great. But at least I expected it to be a bit of a slug after having experienced what extra weight does to the performance with the Trackhawk. I knew that even more weight wouldn't exactly perk...

Can the Ram 1500 TRX Still Be Cool Without 702 HP? We Think So

I sure wouldn't have bought a TRX if it didn't have the 6.2. As it is, it could use another 100 hp to make it run more like a 'Cat, or at least a Trackhawk. Now, if I still lived in CA and had to deal with the roads there, maybe 14 inches of suspension travel would be a good thing. And even a...

Hennessey announces Ram 1500 TRX six-wheel conversion

But BULL, it's only money. A lot of it, but still.

Hennessey announces Ram 1500 TRX six-wheel conversion

That's the one redeeming factor with the TRX's dinky little bed...at least the wheel well doesn't encroach on the rear door, like on some Jap pickups. I probably don't care for that look as it's somewhat like the rear doors on a Charger.

Hennessey announces Ram 1500 TRX six-wheel conversion

Because a TRX is quite heavy, and consequently not particularly quick or nimble. The obvious solution is to add more weight.

Dodge Challengers, Chargers to Get New / Retrofitted Theft Protection

If this gets worse, I'll start locking mine. But thankfully, unlike ChargerChallenger, I won't have to worry about the taxi union wanting a 2-door.

Why are my tpms measuring this way?

Were they OE sensors, aftermarket, or cheap aftermarket? I've never had issues (yet) with the first two kinds, but have never tried cheap ones. Even though I have the tire changing equipment a good balancer, it's just not worth chancing it, I think. PS. Now that I've played around more with...

    Buying another Hellcat

Unfortunately, the book doesn't take the diff gears into consideration. Breaking in a ring and pinion correctly is entirely different from the rest of the drive train.

    Buying another Hellcat

If taking a flight, room and board, into consideration the deal may not be quite as good. Not when you can buy in Utah for a good price. But money aside, for me it would be that it's nearly impossible to break (especially the diff gears) in correctly on a trip like that is the deal breaker...

    Buying another Hellcat

If you'd wrote just built, instead of built and delivered, I'd been more likely to agree with you. Although, you did write "usually", and our '19 Redeye apparently was not usual, taking over four months to get delivered.

    Buying another Hellcat

Bet it wasn't easy to find a house where it's as hot as in Phoenix.

    Your handle/name meaning and why?

Never killed, or maimed. Actually never even been in a fight. Well, got beat on in school a couple of times, but that worked out quite well since the girls really liked that I wouldn't strike back. Been in a jail cell once, during an open house at the local Sheriff's office where I was a...

    Your handle/name meaning and why?

Several people have suggested that I'd write a book about my (mis)adventures in life. I'm not up enough on the statute of limitations to know if it's a good idea or not. Either way, most readers would likely assume that it was all fiction anyway.
